Stern Clear Acrylic Adjustable Chromed Barstool

I had almost given up hope on my bar stool search. Everything I found was the wrong height, the wrong color, the wrong material, didn't have arms... UGH. Until I found these. I felt like I was taking another risk by buying online but it really paid off! Swivel? Height adjusts? Contemporary? Armrests as tall as the backrest? Hit a home run with this one.

It's funny that even though these are see-through, they got more attention than any other piece of furniture in our combined dining/kitchen area! Nearly every guest in our home over the past few months has commented on how stylish and "cool" they are! They work well so far.

We purchased two barstools 8 months ago. We are now giving the only remaining stool away to a friend and shopping for new ones. Here's the real deal: The look of this barstool is fantastic - clean, modern, with a low visual profile, which is exactly what we were looking for. And to be fair, our barstools were being utilized daily for meals, for lounging, etc., as they are positioned at a hub in our house. However, all things said, the quality of this stool is sorely lacking - flimsy at best. The stem of one of our stools actually bent about 10 degrees (and for the record, we are small people!), making it awkward and essentially useless. The remaining stool feels cheap, unwieldy and a bit uncomfortable just 8 months in. It didn't initially, but after regular use, forget about it. The quality is so poor, it just hasn't lasted. Our humble recommendation, if you are looking for a regular-use item that you would like to last awhile, is to keep on looking,

• Please tell us about the quality of the product. Poor quality, cheaply built. One of our stools' stem bent - bent! - with use, rendering the stool scrap.

The style of these are amazing. It is even nicer in person. VERY easy to put together. 3 parts. The reviewer who said take the black cap off the Hydrolic part... right on. I am just concerned they will not last very long. I purchased 3 of these. So far no sweeking as I saw others review. It just feels flimsy. The first time my 10 year old daughter sat on it she said... "it feels like its going to break" . We'll see.
