On first look it is well worth the price and was what I was expecting. But it is not holding up as well as I had hoped and pieces of the wicker have come loose. I am hoping that that won't continue. Also smaller than I expected.
The quality is surprisingly good. I wasn't able to find anything this nice at the bed/bath stores, especially for the price. We're space-deprived in our bathroom, so we needed something that would not be offensive sitting out in our bedroom. This doubles as a side table -- just add a little lamp, and you're done.
the lid is a little heavy for the step feature so when you step on it, you need to really put a lot of pressure on the step. The step is a great feature since I didn't want a hamper with a separate lid. We just end up having to manually open the hamper ourselves.

This is such an attractive, sturdy piece. We love the step open feature and the cotton removable insert allows us to remove the clothes from the hamper with ease. It's even more lovely than it's appearance in the picture.
