This is a beautiful lamp, and we get many comments on it. We were looking for a good quality modern lamp over the breakfast table for our retromodern house and found it. I was surprised that the beads were made out of plexiglass rather than crystal, but now that it's all put together, I like it. This lamp is a keeper. The inner part of the lamp is made of white opaque glass. The bulb which is provided gives off a slightly yellowish/orange light, just like shown in the picture.

We purchased this lamp for our dinning room. Our style is a mix of mid century modern and contemporary so this would've been the right light between the shape and texture. But it really fell short of quality, it looked really cheap & plastic and the light was really low. Needless to say, we returned this item.

The first lamp arrived broken in pieces which Overstock very promptly replaced. The lamp took 2 adept adults about 2 hours to put together. The provided 200 watt halogen bulb ( and you are strongly advised not to use more) gives off the light of a 20 watt incandescent. Such a disappointment. Good as an accent light in some corner but not as a chandelier over even a small dining table unless you like to eat by candlelight.

This lamp is great. Actually did not take that long to set up. Put this in a high school girls' bedroom and it is so cool. Also it is featured in the Modern Family set in Sophia Vergara's home.
