Why did you choose this product?
Ordered these for our first child nursery. I couldn't be more pleased. They are the darkest black-out curtains I have experienced. The style is absolutely adorable for the space. We went with the navy curtains, figuring they look like the "night sky" and will work with our (pending) boy or any (future) girl décor. The length of the 2 panels was equal and the price was very affordable for the set - both traits we have not found with other curtains by other retailers. Highly recommend!...

In general, these curtains are very high quality - the material is nice to the touch and they haven't the typical "plastic" backing, that most black-out curtains have. But even thought it, they block out light beautifully. The stars on the curtains are bright and I got these because of a "universe" theme I will be creating in my son's room - they fit right in.Read More
I bought these in blue for my son's room. It makes it pitch black in the room. Great quality fabric and they didn't need to be ironed. I love the stars and the fact that they aren't too babyish so he will be able to keep them for a long time.Read More
These curtains are good quality, the fabric is very soft. They do keep the light out, but the backing is pink so it looks a little funny from outside. A white lining would have been nice.Read More
My 2 year old granddaughter cannot sleep well unless her room is dark. After trying several unattractive options, I found these curtains and we're thrilled with them. The color is lovely, the fabric is thick and silky and the stars made Matilda very happy.Read More

How to Install Blackout Curtains
Blackout curtains can keep a room cool and dark even when it's bright and sunny outside. A completely dark room is a wonderful thing if you have a job that requires you to work all night or even if you just want a dark room for watching a movie when it's light outside. In addition, blackout window treatments help you conserve energy by keeping heat in and cold out or vice versa. You have two choices when it comes to installing blackout curtains: You can buy curtains that come with blackout liners already sewn in, or you can add panels of blackout fabric to the curtains you already own.
How to Hang a Valance and Curtains
Hanging a valance and curtains over your window will add dimension, texture and style to any room. Window curtains with a valance give your window treatments a finished, designer look. If you want to block out light, a valance and full-length blackout panel curtain is your best choice. If you are more interested in decoration and only need to block minimal light, then a valance over sheer curtains is a good choice. It's important to measure the window and decide what type of curtains you want before you buy the curtain hardware. A cafe rod will be sufficient to support a sheer curtain, but you will need a stronger curtain rod to support heavier fabrics such as blackout panels. Also, the larger the window, the sturdier the curtain rod will need to be.

While vinyl shower curtains are practical and low cost, a cloth shower curtain is a great choice if you're concerned with making your bathroom a place you love to be.
How to Adjust Tension Rods
Curtains are a great way to accent the decor in every room in the house. Tension rods, also called spring rods, are curtain hardware which allow you to hang window curtains, wall curtains or shower curtains without installing curtain rod hardware on the walls. If an existing tension rod slips or if you want to change the curtain panels or add curtain rings, you may need to remove and adjust the rod before putting it back in place. Tension rods are positioned between two facing surfaces, such as the interior frame of a window or the opposing sides of a shower cubicle.
