I purchased this bed because it was very similar to a bed my husband and I liked at a large retail store. I was a bit leary as I have never purchased something of this size online. I was quite impressed when I received my item within 5 days and it took less than an hour to assemble. The bed is looks as nice as in the picture online, it is sturdy and we have received many compliments. It is also quite sturdy and our matress feels much firmer than when we were using the frame that came with the bed originally. I would highly reommend this bed.

A few months ago, I had purchased the Austen bed from Overstock, and was very impressed with the ease of assembly, sturdiness, appearance, and price. I liked it so much that I decided to buy a second one for our guest room. The Austen bed was no longer listed, but the Stanley bed looked so much like it, and was about the same price, that I thought it was made by the same manufacturer and was probably similar in construction. I was wrong! The frame for this Stanley bed is the same quality that mattress stores include as freebies when you purchase a matress and box spring. It shed bits of black paint during assembly, and while it boasts "six leg supports", the two legs of the center bar do not touch the floor! In comparison, the Austen bed had two cross bars and side rails that were attractive enough to be visible. The Austen bed came with all of the tools needed, but this Stanley bed needs a wrench and didn't come with one. The Austen bed was so sturdy that if you tried to shake the footboard, nothing moved. Not so with this imposter! Also, the Austen bed was a matte brownish black color, whereas this Stanley bed is similar but with shiny gold specks on it. In the end, I don't have the energy to disassemble the Stanley bed, and the Austen is not available, so I'm just going to keep it. But I wonder how many other reviewers who gave this a good rating actually thought they were reviewing the Austen bed? Because this is basically junk!

I bought this bed a year ago and forgot to ever write a review. I love it, it's sturdy and very beautiful. My friends have complimented it time and time again. If what you see in the picture is what you want, then you will be very happy with this purchase!

I had to find a new queen size bed that matched my oak dressers. I saw the Stanley bed and IMMEDIATLY fell in love . It is exactly how the picture shows, solid support, easy to assemble and it MATCHES my oak dressers very nicely. Of course I had to get a comforter set from overstock to go with my new bed. LOVE IT!!!

We purchased the Stanley bed for our master bedroom about one year ago, and we have been happy with it ever since. It arrived within days and was very easy to assemble. The color is very similar to the picture, dark brown. We will purchase furniture soon, and I am sure we will be able to find matching pieces easily. Don't hesitate to buy...you'll be glad!

This bed arrived in great shape and rather quickly. I was really worried about ordering a piece of furniture online but I did not make a mistake. The bed is good quality and the perfect color for my bedroom furniture. Another reviewer mentioned that the box says gold...the bed is not gold color at all but more of a charcoal/dark rust shade. It's really a beautiful bed and pretty easy to assemble, which I did by myself with no help from my husband (I wanted to surprise him) He will love it...hopefully as much as I do!

I really like this bed. Well priced and very nice looking. Seems more expensive than it was for sure. A few notes though...the color is not really brown...more grayish black. It's very neutral but dont expect brown. It's called rose gold which does not apply at all. Also, please carefully follow the assembly instruction as I did not and getting the leg posts off the head/foot board is nearly impossible. I did a lot of damage to it trying. It was my fault not theirs but do read the instructions very closely as its not 100% clear.Overall great product, glad I bought.

I really wanted a bed that would match many types of bedroom furniture. This bed is very neutral and once I buy a new bedroom set, I think it will match well. I've only had the bed for a couple of weeks now, however it has actually made my mattress more comfortable! I had contacted Sleepys about a replacement mattress because it had sunken in quite a bit, but the bed has such a great support structure that the mattress has actually gained back some firmness! The only issue with the underbed structure is that it is difficult to store anything underneath. Otherwise, the bed is attractive, seems heavy duty, and hopefully will last a long time. I would definitely recommend this bed as well as Overstock.com. I have yet to be disappointed with Overstock's customer service and shipping! Thanks again Overstock!

i have really enjoyed this bed. it is true to the description and very sturdy/good material. the metal is heavy and is really durable. The bed does slide on my hardwood floor pretty easily so i had to buy these carpet type pads to keep it from scratching. The assembly was a little difficult so be sure to read the instructions.

We shopped locally for beds for two years on and off. We either didn't find the quality we wanted or the price was out of our reach. We have been looking at beds on O.com for 3 months and finally decided that we couldn't get a good balance between quality and price anywhere else. This is a lovely and stable bed. It's not what I would call flimsy at all, nor is it rock solid. I've never felt the bed to be of poor quality and I've had it more than a year. The color looks great. It's very easy to assemble. I recommend it.

This bed was so affordable and looks fantastic! It was very easy to assemble (I did much of it myself and only needed help at the end). We've had it for over a year now and it's been nothing but great the whole time. Used in our master bedroom.

I'm a 62 year old woman and I found it easy to assemble by myself. Instructions were very clear. I do recommend that you place the headboard exactly where you want it before you start putting it together, because once it's assembled and the box spring and mattress are on it, it's very heavy. It was delivered in what seemed like record time.
