I love this bed. It's a great value and is really very beautiful. However, the assembly was a bit difficult for me. I'm not handy and tried to do this by myself. The directions were frustrating and I mixed everything up. Finally, with an extra set of hands, things straightened out and I am thrilled with the result. Very sturdy, vintage style, excellent price.
I received the bed 6 days after ordering it and I am very pleased. I have been looking for a bed for the past year for our spare bedroom and when I saw the picture and reviews I took a chance and ordered it. It is so well made and the price is unbelievable for the quality, and I am probably one of the most hard to please shoppers. The color is a very dark brown, almost black. I would highly recommend this bed!

I bought this bed for my teenage son. It definitely required us both to put it together. After installing both side rails, I had to remove one from the footboard to get the bottom crossbar to connect. Then after putting on the center support pegs, the headboard and footboard were both about 1/2 inch above the floor. I'm not sure if that will settle as my son sleeps in the bed...
Overall, we are very happy with the bed and the quality.
