The "tines" of this so-called brush are enormous. Pass on it and use something else like paper towel. Everything I tried to "brush" ended up on the cutting board. It's a hammer used to put in a small pin. Pass. Garbage.
My husband loves to cook and does the majority of it. He bastes with chip paint brushes he reserves for only cooking (naturally) and they get so gunked up and are hard to clean. I went in search of somthing such as this which I purchased. It's nice because the rubber basting part comes off and you can clean it easily and put it back on the handle. It's been a good addition to our arsenal of cooking tools.
I've been searching for a nice quality silicone basting brush that isn't a crazy color that will clash with my kitchen decor. This one is so nice looking, feels good in hand, and works well with my other stainless steel electrics.
