This is an excellent set. Copper cookware sets that I've seen tend to be far more expensive than this set and simply in terms of value, this set is a good bang for the buck.
PERFORMANCE - Heat is evenly distributed very quickly. The copper seems to or does in fact heat up faster than the usual pots and pans and minutes are quickly saved. The big pot is great for pasta, the small pot is great for sauce, the large low pot is great for cooking up your meats and the fry pan is also terrific. There is very little heat transmitted to the handles except for the large pot which has much smaller handles. Your only problem relative to the fry pan is that it is much easier to use a cheap non-stick fry pan to cook up eggs. It is a hassle to clean these pots so I find myself doing breakfast on alternative cookware.
APPEARANCE - The only concern is when it's brand new, it looks terrific but, after use, you're going to see the rainbow markings from heat and residual food. Exceptional cleaning must take place to avoid spotting. So, as the instructions indicate, you will have to soak for sometime. The fry pan was very non-stick - the first time. Afterward, scrubbing is required and even with a sponge with plastic abrasive, you become concerned about the streaks and abrasion that's left on the stainless steel. And, you also don't want to scrub the copper too hard. In short, the set will never look as nice as when you first buy the product. Nevertheless, this is a great looking copper set that you will be happy to leave out for display.
Overall, this is a terrific set, a great value and I would recommend to friends or family.
