I bought this pot because I was looking for a large steamer. My last one was so thin it would bounce around on the burner when it started to boil.
This pan is heavy stainless...looks nice and cleans up great. It's exactly what I was looking for!
I bought this pot because of its good size (not too big, not too small) and its steaming capacity. So you are actually getting two pots in one; a regular pot and a steamer. The lid is glass, which in my opinion is a plus with cookware, and has a steam vent in the top. The only two issues I have with this pot is the handles inside the steamer part are a little hard to maneuver (especially if you have pot holders on) and the construction of the pot is on the thin side, so I don't know how long it will last. But overall, it is a good buy for the money.
