The bowls arrived wonderfully packaged. I should have looked at the quart sized before ordering- they were slightly bigger than I thought they would be. I love how versatile they are though- the 8 quart would be great to make a giant fruit salad or something to bring to a party. The other bowls are also large enough to use for parties and tossing salads or making a large batch of dough. My only suggestion is if you plan on making a bread or baked good that will require a dryer dough, to use a heavier bowl. The bowls are strong but very light and might be difficult to whisk.

    I would like to eschew giving 1 star reviews but I think it's warranted here. These bowls are extremely flimsy with think sharp (thought not sharp enough to cut) edges. The nest nicely but that's about their only redeeming quality. If you need to mix anything that requires putting some muscle into it like say cookies, I would steer clear of this product.

    I have not shopped at Overstock.com before so this was my first purchase. I was somewhat worried if the quality of the bowls would meet my expections however, they were just what I was looking for. I conducted some price comparisons at different stores before giving Overstock a try and they had the best value hands down. I also conducted some price comparisons on utensils to be used with the bowls and again Overstock had the best price so I placed another order. The bowls and utensils are gifts for my granddaughter so I know she will be pleased with the quality.

  • Very Happy With the Bowl Set

    I received this bowl set undamaged and in a very timely manner as always from Overstock. Overstock's service is impeccable! I love the bowl set. The sizes of the bowls are perfect for baking and mixing. You can mix a double or triple recipe easily in the largest bowl. The mirror finish on the inside is wonderful since what you are mixing sticks much less than glass or other material or finish. The mirror finish also stood up well to my electric mixer's beaters. The bowls are relatively thin and light but they are very sturdy nonetheless. The only minor issue I had was the largest bowl was a bit deep for a standard electric hand mixer. I anticipate these bowls lasting a very long time. I highly recommend them.
