  • Lovely lights

    I just had these installed by electricians yesterday - 3 in my kitchen to replace a halogen track fixture where the bulbs were a pain to replace. These are lovely - definitely silvery, not brown at all, lightweight metal shades with the leaves perforated into the design and a clear-to-white (plastic?) lining inside the shade. There is sort of a seam side - but it really does not detract from the look. Only accepts 60 watts incandescant if I want to dim up and down - anyone found any good dimmable flourescents yet? A fair amount of light comes thru the perfs and also bounces off the ceiling. Much better suited to a modern yet appropriate look in my 60s ranch than the annoying halogen track lights. Changing the bulbs as needed will be easy. Now I just need to touch up the ceiling where the track had been. No regrets. Oh, my electricians were amused by the nice install kit - wire ties, cotton gloves, clips. Said it was good stuff.

    Overall the pendant is beautiful. The light shining through it makes the leaf patterns sparkle. I was surprised to find that it was silver though, I bought it thinking that it was brown toned which is what the picture shows. I also thought that it had a rod hiding the wire because that's how it looks in the picture and the description states "the rod is crafted out of iron". Not sure what rod it is referring to.

  • LOVE IT!

    First of all, the light fixture was delivered so quickly!!! I appreciated that so much! And, when I opened the box to see the shade, it was as beautiful as I thought, just from looking at the photo. It adds a handsome touch to my newly remodeled romantic kitchen! I LOVE IT!

  • Overpriced Junk..

    Unfortunately I have chosen poorly once again.. I finally got this installed and well... I couldn't be more dissatisfied.. it does not work properly the threads to screw in the bulb are a bit off so it takes 10 tries to get the bulb in properly... frustrating...

  • Buyer Beware

    The picture is extremely deceiving. I purchased three of these to go over my bar area. Really liked this item for the "golden" reflective look that's in the picture, which fit my decor. But this "golden" effect must have been achieved by a brown bulb that Overstock put in or some other brown insert. This item was totally chrome and has a very "silvery" look. I'm wondering if I just got the wrong item or if the manufacturer just decided to ship a substitute product. Either way, I am disappointed and bought brown tissue paper to wrap inside the fixture to achieve the look shown. Way too much work for the money I spent but I hate returning stuff so I've decided to live with this. The quality of the item itself is a little disappointing in relation to the price as well. I expected something a little less flimsy. It's not sturdy enough for my tastes. Finally, I hate that there's no way to hide the wiring which is completely exposed and looks plastic, cheap and thin. For such an "elegant" looking piece, this was a poor design element. Would have purchased something else if I went with my first instinct and didn't follow the singular glowing review. I will be more aware next time.

The hanging cable on this item is adjustable. You can adjust the lamp length as short as you want, so it will work that this lamp hangs with 18" or less. overstockcustomercare1 on Jul 18, 2012
