We just ordered another set of the "square" pots as they are a quality made set. The handles are attached well with rivets and are heavy made SS 1/4" square bar stock. The handles stay cool which supprised both of us on the large pans and warm to the touch on the smallest pan. The lid handles are made the same and are cooler than the pot handles. As with any SS cooking pan they take less heat too accomplish the same cooking with other pans. We burnt pop corn the second night and with a hour of water soaking the pan cleaned up easy. The 10' square pan is the same size (in sq inchs) of a 12" round pan. Room enough for two large NY strip steaks. To keep the SS looking nice you need to understand how SS is finished. SS has a grain patteren and looks just like this ^^^^^^^^^ from a end view that have sharp peaks and valleys. The more mirror finish look means there's less hieght in the peaks and the peak tops are closer together. On heavy grained SS the peak to valley distance is taller and the peak to peak distance is wider thus a deep grain look appears just like on a typical SS finish on refrigerators and microwaves. By wiping/scrubbing against the SS grain your are folding over the peaks thus the SS looks scratched. Once you've folded over the grain peaks then it takes excessive hand work to restore the grain patteren with special graining pads made for finishing SS. Finishing SS is a art on it's own and not a easly learned skill. So too keep SS looking new and unscratched, always observe the grain patteren and clean/scrub in the existing grain direction with very light cleaning action. SS will change color as it is heated. White, yellows, gold, reds, blues, purple and black starting from the coolest temperature (white) to the hottest temperature(black). If you see some white and yellow colors appear, do not get alarmed as this is a natural trait of SS and can be easy removed.

very thrilled with these pots. they are not flimsy and i have had no problems cooking in them. I was afraid that maybe i should have looked for something more expensive but i was delighted with them when they arrived and am pleased with my choice.

I cook almost daily,& I know not to cook on high heat. This set looks like it is peeling in the center of two pans.I was told it was because of high heat.And that it is just discoloration.You get what you pay for.

I definitely agree with the review guide. USE the product before submitting a review. The only person here so far that didn't give this product 5 stars is the one who stated she never used them. I do agree with the others in giving this a positive rating, for I HAVE USED & I do cook with my set for three months now. I was surprised & relieved to see how well they have performed for the price. Excellent ! The lids fit snugly. Clean up is a breeze. And I have not found my handles getting hot. The lid handle also has not gotten too hot for me to touch without a pot holder. My husband was worried in seeing how the bottoms of the pan is clearly a separate piece. The frying pan did show some discoloration after he "fried" chicken strips. He did like the fact that the pan is roomy & that the chicken cooked evenly & quicker.. I make rice quite often & it does cook quicker & turns out beautifully. The pan cleans easily with a sponge. The construction is heavy but not overly so. When I am able to upgrade to an expensive set I hope their will be more SQUARE pans in a bigger set !! I am satisfied with my purchase with Overstock . I enjoy the variety & prices. I love this cookware. It goes from the oven, stovetop, table, fridge and/or freezer. It's now my favorite cookware.

The set looks very handsome. Squared pots are unique and decorate the kitchen nicely. Covers are glass and form a tight seal on the pots. However the handles quickly become hot and it is impossible to hold a hot pot without a glove. Also it is difficult to fry anything in the pot, it is quite sticky.

If I could give this product more than 5 stars I would. I was truly supprised when I recieved my pans how expensive they look. I've cooked with them a few timesand this is what I've found. They seem to cook faster than most pans. I had to cook on lower heat. The're heavy but not too heavy.They look good enough to serve the food in! I love these pots and pans and would highly recomend them!

I was SO disappointed to see that these pots are sold out. I ordered a set a couple of years ago, and I love my cookware! They clean so easily, and the glass lids are indispensable since I love to watch my food as it cooks. After two years and a LOT of use, they still look beautiful. Bought them initially for cooking blackberry jam, but no matter what you cook, they fit the bill perfectly!

I am so happy to buy it. It is so beautifull easy to use easey to clean, cooking is like a fun.

Purchased this set as replacement of scratched non stick TFAL set. Have been cooking with these for the past 2 weeks and love them. Used less than 1 tablespoon warmed olive oil with fish, chicken and pork and no sticking. The rims don?t drip and the square shape corners make good pouring spouts. The sizing is excellent! Nothing under 2 quarts-other sets always seem to include smaller pans that I never use. Priced purchasing only the 3 sized pans I normally used and came up with $120-$160 depending on brand so this was much more cost efficient. Love the short handles and that the set nests to save space in my small kitchen! They have a mirror finish both inside and out, though I don?t know how long that will last. I bought them to cook with, not look at, so not an issue for me. The pans, not lids, are oven safe to 400 degrees-haven?t tried that yet. The set is about 20lbs with probably close to 1/3 of the weight being the glass lids. The lids are vented, but still need to lift the lid to check on food for the most part. The metal seam around the outside of the lid is more noticeable than on some other brands and has snagged on a couple of dish towels. The short handles can get hot-use potholders. Will probably last 5-10 years with everyday use barring breaking a lid, which will probably be impossible to replace.

Love these pots! They are different and very well made. I have used all of them and have no complaints. I need to add some bigger pots to what I already have. They blend in nicely. I have round ones with clear tops, however, these are pretty much the same, but different shapes. I highly recommended.

I was happy with the product purchased. It looks nice and I like the square shapes with the short handles. It makes it much easier to store and takes up less space on the stove.Cleans nicely and cooks evenly.

Bought these as a gift for my daughter and she loves them. Likes the shape and the quality. She is not comfortable with their definition of the frying pan though. She would like another piece that was a larger pan as this one is small and deep which makes it harder work with.

I've used each piece several times and have no complaints. There is some discoloration occasionally but it's easily removed with Bar Keepers Friend, which is safe for stainless steel. Cleaning is a breeze. Hard to remove residue comes off easily after soaking for a few minutes. As other posters have stated, I have also found that I'm able to cook at lower temperatures. Heats very evenly. As far as performance and durability, this is a great set and very reasonably priced.

Excellent appearance, different that the normal round pots and pans. Nice see-thru lids. Cooks fine. Haven't used the skillet yet but pots and pans are very good. They have been fine in the dishwasher.

Overstock shipped my items very quickly. I decided to purchase the items because I wanted something different and modern. Something with a little flare. Although, I read the comments from others and realize some of the issues. I purchase the cookware and realize these issues may or may not happen to me. As of yet they have not. The pans are heavy and solid. Each pan is an appropriate size with a top to match. For the single girl this is a must have, sort of like a black dress. If you are a person that is cooking constantly especially big meals I would try other cookware. But, for the person that will serve a fabulous dish and looking for presentation. I say Go For It.

I love the appearance on these pans. Great value! The only thing I didn't care for is that the bottom of the pan on the inside got discoloration after 1 or 2 uses.

The cookware is beautiful, and unique in style. It cleans up well and seems durable. I thought the stock pot would be a bit larger, but perhaps the square style makes it seem smaller.
