This is a very good slow cooker, I use it once a week and everything cooks even and on time,This cooker looks great on your counter if you want to leave it out, So if your looking for a great Slow Cooker look no further.

We bought our crockpot almost 10 years ago, and it has been a helpful servant in my kitchen ever since! As another reviewer noted, this thing cooks quickly--which took some getting used to, however there is the "auto" setting which is a great compromise. What takes other pots 8-10 hours on "hi" this baby can do in half the time! I've learned to use the "low" setting or --as an alternative-- use a lamp-timer set just-so, and food turns out beautifully every time! The stainless steel is easy to clean and looks great on the counter. Even the cheesiest cooked on crust will wash off easily if you soak it for an hour or so. Sadly, the heating element just died on my old work-horse, so I'm in the market for a new outfit, and altho' there are tons of other crock-pots on the market, I find myself coming back to this old friend. What's a girl to do?

This was a little slow in arriving but I was very surprised when I took it out of the box. It was very well packed and was undamaged. It is very large though. I didn't realize how large it would be. I used it immediatly upon washing the crock. I've used it again very recently. I will have to start doubling or tripling my recipes though to fill this crock. It is so large, I don't know if I could lift it if it was full. I am very pleased with this purchase and wouldn't hesitate to order from Overstock again.

My gas stove sprung a leak, And blew up,because of the safety feature of the flint lighter I had no fire. I found myself in need of a way to cook until I could choose another stove. The 5.5 slow cooker was one of the ways I choose to cook for my large family. We have never eaten dried lima beans that taste sooo gooooood. It cooked in record time. The clean up was even quicker.Quicker than useing a stove.

It was a gift and has not been used yet. he did get it when he was supposed to.

I've never used a slow cooker so wasn't sure what to expect. This one works well, meets my needs and is easy to use. Other than being much larger than I expected, I like this slow cooker very much.

My life has gotten so much better even seen I bought my slow cooker. I prepare it before I leave for work, and we all come home, we come home to a nice meal. It has cooked several of our lunches and dinner and it's great. Is like now, we can't live without it. It's great to have, we you have little time to cook when you get home and you have hungry children. I actually bought another one so I can cook two kinds of entree for dinner, and it's great. I highy highly recommend it, life is so much better with this.

I've looked around for a slow cooker for weeks now but they all range in such high prices, and when I came across this one I was surprised with the price. 2x less than the other out there. My friends have one and now I have one too but didn't pay the high price. My slow cooker is great, it's a time saver for a busy mom with all my kids having practice everyday, we come home to home cook meal. Really nice to have especially with a big family.

Great for a single dad like me who has 3 kids. I'm able to spend more time with the kids rather than the kitchen. Great slow cooker for family that's alway on the go and hardly has any time, but this slow cooker has made everything so easy. We love it! Great price for great convenience, and good quality and very reliable.

The price is great, and it has helped me so much in spending too much time in the kitchen. I can clean for hours and this great helper helps me cook my family's dinner and lunch and Inever have to check on it. I trust by the time lunch or dinner comes it's always ready and all the food always comes out great. I love it, it's a great buy for such little price.

I am thoroughly pleased with this slow cooker. I have used it twice and the food has turned out so good. It is hard to believe since it is not expensive. I use it to slow cook inexpensive pork and beef roasts for make ahead meals, and they always turn out moist and perfectly cooked. It has quickly become my come to cook pot whenever I am in need of cooking!

Each recipe I have done has come out overcooked even when I shortened the time an hour, the meat is overcooked! I have wasted more food! I tried deducting cooking time at least two hours. I just cooked a chicken dish that was suppose to take 3-4 hours on high, so I cooked it on low instead and after 2 hours, it was already over done. I have tried different variations and still get overcooked food. I have never had a crockpot do this before. Could be a malfunction. I would look forward to others comments on this crockpot.
