I bought this as a birthday gift for my sister and she loves it. Of course she used it the same day it came in. It's a good size deep fryer. She said it's easy to use and it works great.
Works exactly the way I wanted it. Fairly easy to setup. Easy to clean up compared to frying in an open skillet and having to clean the entire work space. Really nice feature, being able to put the food in the basket and closing the lid prior to lowering the basket into the oil, totally eliminates the danger of hot oil burns. Very happy with my purchase.
The unit is easy to operate and I've done quite a bit of frying in this fryer; french fries, sweet potato fries, donut bits, fish and battered veggies. I have not been disappointed with anything that I've made. The quality is good. If you're like me and you're afraid to get a fryer because of the cleaning factor - this is the one to get. You can't get anything easier to clean than this one. So far it can still keep up with the demand in my family of 4.
This is a decent product that heats up very fast, shows quality in design and setting is very very user freindly. I like the fact that I could use it as a deeper fryer or regular cooker. I just made crispy fried chicken and onion rings for my family last week and they love it. I also used it for beef stew and stuff like that. I personally think this is decent prodcut.
The heating unit works fine and is easy to use and clean, but the basket is useless. The handle is not stable, which is unsafe when using hot oil, and food sticks to the basket so badly that it is unusable. In addition, the electrical cord affixes with a magnet rather than a plug and comes off easily. I do not recommend this product.
