I am on septic tank and it is not good to let food etc slip down the drain. I use this and it catches the bad stuff. What I really like is that the wire mesh is flexible so you can shape it to fit your sink drain. It sits flat so stuff doesn't creep under it. It is a handy little gadget that can save a lot of money down the road.
