Great Tea kettle if only the lid didn't come apart
I've had this kettle for a year now and about a month ago, the lid fell apart. The knob is attached to the lid with a rubber washer and screw. I guess what caused this is because I left the lid on after boiling water and then later when I went to remove it, the seal was so tight it took a lot of effort to pull the lid off the kettle. After 11 months, the "bolts" of the lid just gave out. So if you get this kettle, remove or loosen the lid after boiling to prevent this from happening.

- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Great kettle but the lid assembly did not hold up. A year later, I am now boiling water w/out a lid.

It is certainly an ok tea kettle. No frills but it is great for the money. It does everything it says it does. If economy is your primary concern this is the tea kettle for you.

This is a thin and really cheaply made tea kettle with a short life span.

Looks great. The lid is a little hard to remove. Otherwise good value. Price is so much better than found in retail stores.

Whistle happy
All the department stores are $45 -$55. Just as advertised. You cannot lose to top that makes the ketle whistle. It is permanently attached. Just what I wanted. I bought one for my wife & married daughter.
