My knives came sharp and ready to go. This is a very nice knife set though I was missing one of the rubber things that go on the bottom of the wood block.

These knives seem very durable and sturdy, and fit my hand well, but do not seem very sharp. I have not yet tried to improve that by sharpening, but expected sharper edges out of the box.

Overall this is a very nice knife set for the price. There is a wide variety of knives that can handle just about any job. These knives look nice and they were very sharp right out of the box. My only complaint is that the block I received was broke, but it was only cosmetic and did not affect the functionality. I have not had them long enough yet to rate the durability, but they seem like they will be great.

You cannot go wrong with this cutlery set. The quality is top-notch. Excellent variety of knives, plus sharpening tool and shears. The price is unbeatable as well. I am so glad I purchased this set.
