They ARE just right for children, but I didn't order them for children. They hold 8 oz. That is one cup, BUT most coffee drinkers don't drink 8 oz at a time. They are just entirely too small.

These cups are very nice for younger children to use, as they have a nice handle and are very lightweight. The stainless steel is great, so the cups don't break if dropped. I was excited to find them and am anxious to see how they hold up over time.
