Use simmer for long timed receipes. Found my large burner on flat top stove was too hot for simmer.

Overall , a quality piece. A little "light" in the metal, which makes the pot feel "flimsy" , HOWEVER, it does the job - AND - the PRICE IS RIGHT!!! A solid 4 STARS

Gave to Mom for Christmas. Great for cooking a large amount of Speg. noodles!

I was disappointed when I received this, it's flimsy and thin. The base isn't thick enough to spread the heat around, so I get scorch spots. Okay for high liquid cooking, just don't try it for rice, other grains.

I had been looking for this type of stock-pot for some time, but could not afford the prices that they were asking. So glad to finally find one at such a great value. It is very durable and I love the handles on it. I bought one for a friend and kept one for myself.

The stock pot was a gift so I have no idea how well it works. I was disappointed when I opened the box and found that the knob on the lid had a sharp rig around it from the mold is was made from. Like the sharp edges on cheap spoons. It was almost Christmas so we couldn't return it, so my husband used a nail file on it and it looked okay after that. But still......

When I 1st received the pot, it was not as heavy as I had anticipated and thought for sure food would stick and burn. Much to my delight, it is durable and it lived up to the description on Overstock. This pot turned out to be a good purchase.

I have only used this stockpot a few times but I am impressed with the quality for its price. It seems to heat quickly and evenly with no hot spots to burn the food. The soups I have made have been very tasty and the pot cleans up nicely. Overall, a very good value.
