To be honest I was a little worried after buying and before recieving this knife set online that may be I should have shopped from a retail place where I could actually see or touch to make sure about the sharp edges.However, after I received this set, I was absolutely delighted. Not even the packaging is awesome but also both the knives are even better than I had expected. The edges are very sharp and the knives look very beautiful too. I love to cook and these knives, that are very comfortable on hold too, have made the cutting-chopping even more easy and fun for me. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good pair of knives. This pair has replaced all other knives from my kitchen.

The knives are ok, not my favorite ones, but good enough. I'm having a hard time using the bigger knife, may be just me, but can't really get a good chop going with it. The smaller knife is fine, nice and sharp and just what I wanted. Can't really say much about the durability as I just received them.

The hybrid knife looks good, is made well & is very sharp. The shape of the blade however is counter productive. Only a small part of the edge touches the cutting board at one time, ( 3/4" ) at most. It's not good for any kind of real chopping, slicing or dicing in a real kitchen. It does look really cool on the wall but that doesn't get food on the table. The paring knife is great all around, I love it! It fits well in the hand & is very sharp. It has a good quality weight & feel to it.

I bought this knife because I didn't have a Santoku and this was a great value. I cut throught a loaf of bread easily and used the paring knife to slice through a ripe mango and it passed with flying colors. It had a nice feel and was well constructed, now just to see how durable it will be, however at this price it will be a great deal no matter. I would recommend this to a friend or anyone who needs good cutlery .

I bought this for my son who is an executive sushi chef for his birthday. He says they are the best knives he has ever used and their unusual appearance is an added benefit. When he saw they came from Overstock he said " I'm going to have to start shopping there myself. These are great"

J.A. Henckels, Wusthof no more! I own a set of both but I thought I'd try this wierd looking knife. It's light, balanced, extremely sharp and versatile! Don't buy those over-hyped knives when this is all you need for an unbeatable price. It comes with a case. If you love your knife then it will love you. Just protect it. Wash with mild soap after use and towel dry carefully and put back in the wooden case. SUPER KNIFE! A+++

I really wasn't sure about these knives when I ordered them. They looked so different from the Henkels knives that I've been using. The price was so good, I had to give them a try. They arrived quickly, beautifully packaged and were incredibly sharp. For the price, they can't be beat. I'll probably never go back to the expensive Henkels.
