Not great
 from Atlanta,  May 29, 2007

The assembly of the product wasn't very sturdy - the screws and washers included are not high quality and I know it's going to rust soon. The bowl itself is very shallow - more for bird seed than a bird bath. It looks nice right now - but wouldn't buy again or recommend it.

I like it, BUT........
from Gillett, Texas,  Mar 6, 2009

I could not recommend this to a friend because putting it together as instructed resulted in a VERY lopsided birdbath. It required metal filing of leg pieces plus adding washers to the top of two of the legs to get the birdbath reasonably level. Then the nuts, bolts & washers had to be spray painted. My husband is very 'handy' at making something go together and turn out decently. Unless you too can work with this item, I don't recommend it.

Attractive; BUT...........................
 from Florida,  Feb 28, 2009

I found the bird bath easy enough to assemble. It really looks great in the yard; however all the cardinals, robins and even a redheaded woodpecker that I've been hanging a seed basket for, will not go near it. I've seen only doves and sparrows drinking from it. The red birds I would guess find the black birds threatening???????

St. John Black Cast Aluminum Bird Bath
from Huntsville, AL,  Jan 11, 2009

I sent this as a gift to my mother-in-law. She loves it and put it in a place outside where she can see if often.

Great Bird Bath
from Atlanta GA,  Sep 28, 2008

Easy to assemble, good looking, just not as big as I thought it was going to be. It looks great in my back yard and the birds love it. I will be getting a bigger one and moving this one out front. I would reccomend this to anyone with a small area that they want the birds to come to. Again, the only reason I did not give it a five is because it is a little small for my needs.

Beautiful but a little confusing
from Houston, Texas,  Dec 30, 2007

The bird bath was beautiful once we got it together but when it arrived the packaging was a little damamged but the bath was not. The instructions to put it together was not great but in the end my husband was able to do it. Thank goodness Overstock had a great offer for shipping becuase as you may have guessed it was heavy. It looks great and will be a welcome addition in my Mother's garden next spring.

Ladybird365
from Rochester, NY,  Dec 28, 2007

The birdbath was a gift Even though the first one arrived damaged, the replacement arrived very quickly and undamaged. We love the birds on the bowl and the weight of it will keep it "put" in the garden. The receipients were very happy with their new bird bath. Thank you for your excellent service.

Good value, bad instructions
 from Massachusetts,  Dec 15, 2007

As others have said, the "instructions" that ship with this product are less than helpful. Once assembled, the birdbath is fairly attractive and seems sturdy. It will likely rust, but maybe we can call that its "patina."

Item gets compliments
from Rhode Island,  Jul 30, 2007

Item has been in use for over two months now and I have noticed small chips beginning to rust. I probably will use black rust preventative touch-up paint and hope that works. Overall, the birds love it and it is quite attractive and easy to maintain. In order to keep water fresh all I do is jet stream water from the hose and flush dirty water and side droppings out and refill. I purchased this item for my in-laws as well. They are happy with it.

Hard to put together
from Brooklyn, CT,  Jul 20, 2007

Due to quality of metal forging, this bird bath was a little tough to put together. The stand pieces were not uniform therefore it looks a little strange. Somehow though, the base and the actual bath part of the unit are level. That remains a mystery to me.

Birdbaths
 from Wisconsin,  Apr 13, 2007

This birdbath is a welcome addition to my backyard. It is handsome in appearance, and the birds have frequented it from the day I put it out. Being cast aluminum, I anticipate it will be easily maintained and in use for a long time
