Made of Plastic
The shower arm is made of metal as stated covered in chrome. The shower head may be metal on the inside, but all the external parts are made of plastic. Not what I expected.

Pretty good for the price
I actually bought two of these: one for my boyfriend's house and one for mine. I used the straight rod it comes with in my shower and really like it, but at my boyfriend's the head is attached to a downward angling rod, and that works a lot better than I expected. The head swivels, so it's easy to adjust the angle of the spray. I like the look of this shower head a lot! It's very modern. The installation was very easy, and the rainfall effect is nice. The water pressure is light, compared to regular shower heads, but I never never had trouble rinsing my hair because of it. Overall, it looks cool, is easy to install and use, and feels very relaxing!

works good looks good
The shipment came in a timely fashion nice and speedy al always from overstock. Product was packaged well and in good working orde, However I would recommend the shower arm with the three inch rise. The straight 16in shower arm is ok but it looks robotic not a real "snazzy" appeal....

very nice, modern/contemporary look
There are some complaints that the shower head is made from plastic but that's what shower heads are made of at big box stores but they aren't as nice and priced a lot higher.
