Lamps were very easy to assemble and look great. In addition to a switch on the top of the lamp, it comes with a small foot-peddle on and off switch that is very handy. Originally found lamps on another Web site at a much higher price. Due to the lower cost, was able to purchase two and they really created a contempory, fun look when paired with a sectional.

Product looks qood, works well. Not as high quality as the more expensive lamps but you get what you pay for.

This lamp looks like a fire hazard waiting to happen. Didn't come with all parts to assemble, if I would have completed the assembly after seeing the wiring coming from the lamp stand up to the light. Am returning product.

My advice: if you like this look, you need to save up and buy the Pottery Barn version. I had to send this back - though I loved the accent look in my living room, the quality was terrible and that was obvious to anyone looking at it.

Love the look of the lamp but it get very hot quickly. I would be afraid to have it in a space that is close to curtains and I won't let my children touch it. Good looking and we don't use it much so the heat isn't a huge deal but had I know it would get this hot I wouldn't have bought it. Might try a lower wattage bulb although the bulb I have in it now is per instructions.

Great lamp. The light is very directed, so make sure you use a lower watt bulb. It says only use up to 60. I would heed that advice. LOVE IT!

With only a single bulb this lamp doesnt offer much light but is a great accent piece

If you are looking for a lamp that will last more than a few weeks this purchase is not for you.

At first we were in love with this lamp, but over the course of a few weeks, the lamp portion began to droop and the screw mechanism became totally stripped. Unfortunately, the company's return policy is only 45 days and so after just 3+ months the purchase was totally useless. I can't risk buying another lamp from 0.co for this reason.

At first, I thought this lamp was stylish and well-made, but as I set it up, I realized its construction was shabby. The lamp head never fit quite right and was inflexible. Eventually, the nut that is supposed to hold the lamp head just lost its grip, so the lamp is useless. I've ordered many products from Overstock, and this is the first review I've ever written

Do not recommend for a room that is open display. Fine for a reading lamp for study.

The lamp served it's purpose as a reading lamp in my family room, but the adjustable arm has NEVER been stiff enough to really hold it's shape. Tightening the bolts periodically will help it hold for part of an evening, but it requires periodic fixing if I want to keep the light focused in a certain area. This wouldn't be horrible, except the metal portion around the bulb gets EXTREMELY hot. We're expecting a baby, so we didn't want little hands getting injured. We've moved this lamp to the basement work room, and we purchased a different lamp for the family room.

I thought this lamp would go great in our den until we set it up and turned it on. It made a crackle noise and smoke came out of it. Talk about a fire hazard!! Not a good purchase from O.com.

Looks good but the switch on the light itself broke after three or four uses. We now use the cord switch, not very handy. I would NOT suggest you buy this lamp, it is worth about ***.

I chose this lamp after doing an extensive search of both online and nearby stores. I am not dissappointed. This lamp adds a dramatic and classy flair to my living room. The dark bronze contrasts yet complements the light brown chair I set the lamp next to. I find that the base is adequately heavy, the variable height convenient, and that the adjustable lamp works smoothly. All in all I feel that this is a reasonably priced, and a solidly made, beautiful addition to my home.

Love the look and weight of the lamp. Even like the floor button that turns it off and on. But the decorative thumbscrew that holds the main part of the lamp to the post and helps adjust the head was far too short. The casing wouldn't stay together. Ultimately we replaced it with a machine screw and nut so that we can use it, but it's a crass alternative and cheapens the decorative quality of the lamp.

Lamp is beautiful--- works with both classic & contemporary decor. I love that it's not a shiny metal. The ONLY problem with the light is a practical one: the switch on the lamp itself gets very, very hot. Not good for kids or sensitive adults. There is a cord switch that you tap on/off with your foot, which might work for you, but in the particular spot where I've put this lamp, I prefer to hide the cord under the couch. It's great to have a good reading light next to a chair or couch in a room that has the modern ceiling can recessed lights.

Beautiful lamp - the only problem is that it will only take a 60 watt bulb and this does not give enough light for a person with any vision problems.

The lamp was nicer than I expected, is well made and is perfect for a corner behind a chair for added light to read. I saw the same lamp in 2 local furniture stores for $199.00 so it's a great value.

The lamp was exactly as pictured. It is very adjustable and has a "steel" modern look to it.
