This set totally exceeded my expectations! This set is not only beautiful, but very heavy as well. I love it!

This flatware has a nice heavy feel, but I find the embossed handles garish and not particularly attractive. I would definitely not recommend it to a friend.

Though a little pricey, I chose this for our everyday flatware, bought two sets and am very plesed with my purchase. They are sturdy without being overly large or heavy, sized just right for everyone in the family. I love the bright silver color as opposed to the darker "metal" looking finish you often see. The design is different, but lovely with the birds and flowers, just enjoyable to look at. I was a bit concerned when I read made in China on the box (Spode=England) but the quality is great , I highly recommend this flatware.

The appearance was what I wanted. I like the size of the flatware. Don't know about durability yet, we will see.

It is a beautiful, heavy and well made set, that looks like your finest sterling but you can put it in the dishwasher. The pieces are very large, especially the dinner forks, tablespoons and knives, so I had to re-do my silverware drawer to accomodate them, but it was worth it. The set is substantial, and although heavy it is not uncomfortable to use. I am only 5'2 and was concerned that the pieces were too big, but they are not. I am enjoying using the set, in fact I purchased two. The finish is shiny and the design with the birds and foliage is very attractive and well executed. I was hoping to spend less money on new flatware but this design was really nice and the pieces are very classy looking and I am glad I purchased it! These pieces are very solid and will not bend.

I bought this set a few months ago, and am very pleased with it. The rich 18/10 stainless looks almost like sterling silver. The bird engravings are beautiful. Washes well in dishwasher. Goes well with Spode's Blue Italian dinnerware, as well as their Woodland design. The salad fork is large and can double as a dinner fork. Spode has recently been bought out, and I hope the new owners continue the historic Spode line.

I've always considered Spode to be a superior brand name. I looked for flatware for a long time before deciding on this particular flatware. I have used it and I like it very much now and feel sure that I will enjoy it in the years to come. It is unique in pattern. I love the outdoors and was drawn to the bird wildlife. The handles are larger than normal so that they accomodate the wildlife. Be bold and order this.

I am enjoying my new flatware very much. I recently used it with my Woodland Spode dinnerware and my table looked very good. I like the larger size flatware because I have arthritis and it is easier for me to hold and manipulate. It is fun to have a small set just for lunch with the girls or card club. I would recommend this set to others if they enjoy an intricate pattern.

I bought two of the fortyfive piece flatware sets. I am extremely pleased with my purchace. I think it is a wonderful vaule and the overall apperance is beautiful. Certainally compliments and completes the other Spode Woodland Dish sets.
