My family loves popcorn on the stove! It's the best! We had the cheap Whirley Pop first, and it lasted about a year! This one is much more durable and heavier. Love the popcorn it makes. We simple add the oil and salt with the popcorn kernals, and the salt cooks into the popcorn, so there is no need to add anything else with it after it's popped. Even our kids' friends ask for it now for movie nights because it's so good!

I just bought it and use more than 5 times. So far, no trouble. The cooker is very deep and sturdy.

After one small job with a phillips screw driver to place the lid handle right side up, the wok was ready for use. I washed it out, wiped it down with cooking oil as suggested in the instructions and got to cookin'. My first stir-fry was quick and easy, and temperature control was simple. Clean-up was a breeze, as well. I liked not having to heat up the stove top, and having everything close by on the counter top while cooking. I would suggest using a heat-protection of some sort underneath, just to be safe. My counters are Corian, and may be more heat sensitive than other materials.

For approximately $**, this pressure cooker is a great value. I use it mainly to prepare beans. I also use it to prepare steel cut oatmeal (pan in pot method) and risotto's. This pressure cooker has excellent safety features and the stainless steel construction is great. Check out Laura Pazzaglia's website for an excellent review with pictures on how to correctly mount the gasket. What you also need to realize is that the red indicator that pop's up is there to allow air to purge out as the cooker begins building pressure and to lock the handle to avoid the operator (you) from opening the lid while the cooker has any pressure. When the red indicator pops up, the cooker has pressure but it is not yet at full pressure. Only when you see a small wisp of steam start to be released from the main valve do you know that full pressure is achieved and to start your cooking timing and to turn down the heat or move to a low heat burner. I recommend that after you clean the cooker, you test...

I bought this for my daughter. She has no room to store an electric fryer. She has used it for frying chicken, making chicken and dumplings, shrimp fried rice, roasst beef, curry. She has used this fryer everyday since I gave it to her. It is small not too small she can cook up to 10 servings at once. Everyone should own this ... It is so convenient.
