    This is a great helper for my induction cooktop. I use it in my camper because I have the aluminum, lightweight cookware, and this is perfect to conduct the heat to my pans. However, I think that it is costly.

    I have never used a pressure cooker before, but I do remember my mom using one. After doing my research, I bought this one, and am very happy with the product. It is very heavy duty and made very well. It comes with a silicon gasket, not rubber, so it won't be drying out and cracking. The instructions are very easy to understand, and once you have read them, the pot is easy to use. It has two pressure settings, low and high, to cook different types of foods, and a no pressure selection. I especially like that it does not have that jiggle weight on top, but has a pop-up device instead, to let you know when the pot has reached the correct heat to begin pressure cooking. So far, I've made a pot roast and chicken and dumplings. The pot roast was terrific, the chicken and dumplings just ok - it is definitely a learn as you go process for me! I am really excited about trying something else.

    I BOUGHT THIS EGG POACHER FOR MY MOTHER-IN-LAW. I THOUGHT IT WAS WELL MADE AND SHE SIMPLY LOVED IT.

    Great quality - have used twice now - both on stove and using fuel/flame....very similar to my pots I purchased in Switzerland ! Highly recommend ! Just wish it was a bit bigger. I may be purchasing another one. We have fondue parties through the cold weather months.

    For approximately $**, this pressure cooker is a great value. I use it mainly to prepare beans. I also use it to prepare steel cut oatmeal (pan in pot method) and risotto's. This pressure cooker has excellent safety features and the stainless steel construction is great. Check out Laura Pazzaglia's website for an excellent review with pictures on how to correctly mount the gasket. What you also need to realize is that the red indicator that pop's up is there to allow air to purge out as the cooker begins building pressure and to lock the handle to avoid the operator (you) from opening the lid while the cooker has any pressure. When the red indicator pops up, the cooker has pressure but it is not yet at full pressure. Only when you see a small wisp of steam start to be released from the main valve do you know that full pressure is achieved and to start your cooking timing and to turn down the heat or move to a low heat burner.
