Great construction, excellent quality paint and hooks. Looks perfect in our setting with the cubby shelf above and cubby bench below. Both pieces were delivered in only 4 days from ordering. Anxious to fill with baskets and use in our back mudroom / entry.

I put this together rather quickly and easily. My 6 year old son helped by fastening the hooks to the lower part. My husband and I mounted it on the wall very easily and his qualms about the sturdiness evaporated when he hung all three of his heavy winter jackets on it without even a groan or creak from the supporting wall. All three of our kids love how it looks, and I like that it pairs well with the bench that they now use to store their backpacks and shoes. All of my husband's baseball caps fit on top or in the three storage compartments.

The black shelf looks great over my clawfoot tub. I wasn't sure about the security of the hanging system, but so far so good. One of the boards had gotten chipped on the corner in shipping, the replacement process was so easy and new piece sent very quickly. Liked the shipping price too!
This looks very attractive on the wall. It will be quite servicable. I gave 4 stars for value because it is made of pressed board. The directions are hard to follow, read through them completely before you start. My husband is a carpenter and he put the shelves on backwards...

i bought the shelf and love it the only problem is that they show the wicker baskets but do not sell them. I have looked all over and have yet to find the size i need. they are around 10 x 10 x 6. They do not tell u one way or the other whether they are included..

This shelf system is overall pretty good and a good value. Assembly goes smoothly once you figure out the top, bottom, front, back, of each piece (They are not marked, so look at them first because there is a difference). Would be nice if they gave you screws to mount it to the wall. Looks good once assembled and seems sturdy enough for considerable weight, as long as the wall mount holds. I have never used a wall mount like this, so time will tell how secure it is.

This is a real nice product. I bought it thinking I would either send it back (if i didn't like it) or, buy the bench that matches (if I did like it).
Needless to say, I'm VERY happy with the product and just ordered the matching bench.

We purchased 5 shelves on this site that were awesome. We purchased this one the same day. The quality of this is poor, made with particle board. We purchased it for a bathroom so it will not hold up. We had to finish painting the unfinished sides of all the pieces to seal it and then we could put it together. No baskets came with this set. The other sets we purchased were of a much nicer quality, were solid wood and were finished and then included the baskets for less money. This was a very disappointing purchase.

I was disappointed when putting this piece together. The instructions are not very good. You must be careful to get everything in the correct direction. The holes that the plastic dowels go into were deeper than they should have been and swallowed up the entire peg. I was covered in black "shoe polish" when I was done assembling this piece. The black permanant marker included with the hardware should have been a clue.

I purchased this for our entryway to replace our old coat rack. We put it together relatively easily, and it looks great hanging up. We didn't buy the matching bench, since we already had one. I especially like the cubbies, which are really roomy. We store all our gloves, hats, keys, etc in the cubbies. We've got lots of weight on it (several heavy winter jackets, several bags, umbrellas, etc) and it's holding up very well. We've had it for a little over a month now, and we haven't had a single problem. The color is just a flat black, which should fit in nicely pretty much anywhere.

I assembled and hung this shelf alone -- was not terribly difficult. I am concerned about the mounting strip -- is the shelf going to give way and fall off the wall in the middle of the night? Hasn't happened yet after a month of hanging tight... Overall very happy with shelf and matching bench - perfect size for my mudroom.

had intended to return this as it wasn't the color I wanted (my mistake) but it is a lovely looking piece so decided to use it anyway. It had limited instructions but I have had experience with this type of instructions and figured it out after a while. It is quite heavy which surprised me. It has not been mounted yet so cannot give you any more info.

I love the look of this piece, but wasn't crazy about putting it together. I think I'm pretty handy, and it wasn't that it was difficult to assemble, but it was the way it attaches to the wall.
You assemble the entire unit and then there are two slotted boards left over - one attaches to the unit and one to the wall. They then essentially lock into one another to secure the piece on the wall. This doesn't leave me feeling that I could put a lot of coats on the hooks or anything with any sort of weight in the shelves.
Basically - it's a nice unit for a few coats and maybe winter wear (gloves, hats, scarves), but not much else.

Nice unit very easy to put together no instructions needed! Very unique hanging bracket have not seen anything like it before works great. Only thing I don't like is the tiny screws they give for the coat hooks so I changed mine to drywall screws and trimmed the tips of the back that stuck thru. Good product for the price.

It requires you to buy your own screw or anchors to hang it up on the wall. Also, the whole thing is made out of particle board which in my experience is...cheap. It is a pretty good size though so be sure you measure it out before buying it. It was fairly easy to put together. I read someone's review about them having to take it apart and flip a part so I took my time and made sure it was the correct way. I did get confused a couple times and had to look ahead to see how it would end up.
I still think this is a great product though. I would just be careful when putting it together. Since it is made of particle board (thick particle board) the unfinished corners and edges will chip easily. Once it is up on the wall it is GREAT though.

This looks nice and is sturdy. It was very difficult to put together though. Plan to spend a good couple hours on it. Beware that the back is flimsy and is what holds the cubby to the wall. This is a downfall to the product. Although this product looks nice, it could be bought somewhere else cheaper.
