Maybe i should have returned this and tried for a replacement

i had seen this in someone's home and wanted it - searched it out and found it here. although other reviews said there was a problem with the dispensing pump, i had no problem. it does not leak and has not disappointed me in any way. i'm very glad i got it!

I love the looks of the soap dispenser, but I have to agree that mine leaks out of the spout and you will get squirted by it if you press too hard. The spout needs to be angled down more. Also, the spout is loosing it's gold coloring. Needs a metal spout instead of plastic. Not one of the better pieces in this collection. I have many of the other items and enjoy them very much!

I am very pleased with the soap dispenser. After reading some of the reviews I was worried about leaking but I've not had a problem with that at all. I also purchased the 4 piece canister set and the salt & pepper shakers. Even though they are each hand painted, the soap dispenser looks great along with the other pieces. I would not hestiate to recommend this item to anyone thinking about buying it. I look forward to purchasing some of the other matching pieces.

I have looked everywhere to find a soap dispenser with this pattern for my kitchen. It matches my curtains and seat cushions perfectly. I was thrilled when Overstock had it, but it was out of stock at the time. I did receive an e-mail when it was back in stock though, and ordered it right away. It came amazingly quickly in the mail! The only disappointments with it are the plastic spout (I would prefer metal) and the pump does not screw on properly (as I see someone else encountered). Overstock is great though - I would not hesitate to order from them again!

I love this thing! My dispenser fits together beautifully, which is odd, considering that the cap screws on to ceramic grooves. No leaks nor rogue squirting, either. My old grocery store bottle (which the dish soap comes in) was ugly plastic so this is a fabulous improvement! Now I need a matching caddy for my scrubby and sponge...a spare matching coffee cup is suiting the purpose right now. Hum....

It looks very good over my kitchen sink but no matter how hard I try it doesn't stop leaking. That is why I didn't give it the 5 stars.

I was a little wary ordering this, with the one review that said the pump didn't fit well. It must have been as isolated incident, because I have no complaints. It is beautifully hand painted, and works fine. I used it for my dish washing liquid, and it looks great on my sink. It was packed very well, and recieved in a timely manner, as usual with the O. I will be back for more.

This item is without a doubt a beautiful addition to my existing Sonoma collection. However, either the product was damaged during shipment or it was not properly fitted. Regardless of how I try to screw the pump to the dispenser, it would not fit properly and would leak between the metal pump and the ceramic neck of the dispenser; thus the three stars. Perhaps it was just a "lemon" dispenser and others are OK...I just don't know. I would recommend it anyway. It's a small inconvenience.

The only problem I have with the soap dispenser is I wish the despenser had a better quality pump. I would rather pay more and have a metal rather then plastic despenser. It does look very nice in my Tuscan style kitchen!

I'm very glad I bought this, and other pieces in the collection - the wall clock, the coffee mugs, the large platter, the canister set, and the cookie jar. Was a little hesitant to order the soap dispenser because of some of the negative reviews, but mine functions fine, and holds plenty of liquid soap, close to 15 oounces. Adds lots of color to my kitchen. Everything came well-packed, with no damage. Have gotten lots of complements.

It is perfect to match other Canister sets, I have and also spoon rack, too. All is perfect.

Excellent quality, awesome price. The picture shows this with a silver or chrome colored pump, all my kitchen hardware is brass, but I liked this so much I ordered it anyway. Imagine my delight when it arrived with a brass colored pump! Just beautiful. I just ordered the canisters and cookie jar to match and I'm sure I'll be just as happy. Thanks Overstock!

I was very happy with my purchase. Item looks lovely in my "Tuscan" kitchen. Great vibrant colors!
