Nice enough...
Despite the other review warnings of packaging issues, I took my chances and ordered this table anyway. The first go round the package was damanged in transit and never made it to my home. The second attempt took almost 2 weeks to be delivered, I'm guessing because of its weight. The package came in bad shape so I was nervous to see the contents. They weren't too bad and the bumps and bruises are in spots that thankfully aren't too noticible. Returning it would have been more of a hassle and it really is a pretty table. Putting it together was fairly easy although it is heavy, I was able to do it by myself. Overall, happy with the table.

Packing issues
The table is the perfect size I was looking for, so that was great. But as another reviewer said, there are manufacterer packing issues. The bottom oval was all scratched on mine too. Overstock did not have any replacements at the time, but took a significant amount of $ off to keep it. I love overstock's customer service. Oh yeah, the black on the top of the table is not routed out, it's just a black oval on top of the table to make it look like it is. For the price, it is a decent table.

Cocktail table
What Cocktail table! This has been shipped twice and both times the bottom shelf was damaged. It was not carrier damage, but manufacture packaging issues. I explained this to customer service and OS did send the replacement, after the 1st time, at no charge. I received the 2nd table, and the same issue. I call customer service and was told the 2nd table would be picked up by another carrier, and when the Customer service person saw that it was picked up, would enter another replacement. I sent the UPS tracking number to customer service when picked up and was then told I had to wait until it was returned and then a replacement would be entered. It was returned over a week ago, and I still do not show a replacment entered. Not happy with the service on this item, and will never order furniture again.

Somerton Gatsby cocktail table us absolutely great
First of all, it was packaged very secure for such a heavy product which protected it really well. It was easy to put together with a mimimum number of screws and parts. The color is viberant and I am so please with the quality of the wood. It goes perfect with my leather furnitue . It is very elegant looking and it would go with any type of decor. I just happy with this purchase and love the table. I have no negative comments about this table!!

Coffee Table
This is a very heavy, sturdy, large-scaled coffee table - exactly what I was looking for! It is a very nice quality, especially for the price, it looks very elegant and appears to be much more expensive than it was. It was easy for me to assemble by myself. I am completely satisfied with it!
