I love these tiles. They are beyond what I had imagined in the final finish of our recent kitchen remodel. They are as dramatic as I had envisioned them to be, but they are on the darker end of the scale so good lighting is essential for that finished look. We have not put in the final lights yet above the sink, but I know they will have the look I am going for. I could not ask for a better finishing touch than these tiles in our kitchen. I wish I was able to submit a picture of the final job, but this review doesn't allow for that.
How did the color on site compare with the actual product? They are a little darker than I thought they would be.

Tile came nicely packaged and tile is very rich looking. Nice texture on the stone pieces that are mixed in. I had an issue with one of the boxes of tile and Overstock sent me a new box immediately. Great customer service.

I'm in love with my kitchen after installing this as a backsplash. As others have noted, it's a lot darker than I expected, but I love it. Have installed under-cabinet puck lights and that lightened it up. Difficult to grout, as the spaces are very small and the grout gets into the rough places on the slate tiles. You need to take your time and clean off each individual slate tile after you grout. The finished product is worth the effort!
I purchased two boxes and held my breathe. I have a slightly weird color counter and have had trouble finding tile for back splash. I was thrilled when I saw this and was happy when I saw the tile. One small problem, one little tile is cracked, contacted overstock today and we are working it out. I really don't want to return the box for one little crack. I think this will work out, they can send me just the one piece.
How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Color somewhat darker, but it's still in the same color palet
Please tell us about the quality of the product. Haven't used it yet. Will let you know
How accurate was the on site description of the product? accurate except color

Hello! This tile can be easily cut using a wet saw or tile nippers. To create a clean line while cutting glass, it is helpful to wrap the cutline with tape. This will prevent the back paint from chipping! Thank you for your interest in our products!somertilecustomercare on Nov 14, 2013
Thank you dsavard for the opportunity to help you with the Somertile Reflections Piano Brixton Stone and Glass Mosaic Tiles (Pack of 5). The tiles can be cut using a simple table saw, radial arm saw, miter saw or a skill / worm drive saw as long as you have a tile blade in the saw, you can make square and clean cuts in the tile for installation. Customer Care, you are not answering the questions posed by your customers. 1st: what is the width and length of EACH INDIVIDUAL TILE...not the whole sheet...each tile. We need it to see if we can line it up with other larger subway tiles, etc. to create a smaller strip of these tiles embedded in a wider area of the subway field tiles. 2nd is what is the size of the tile sheets, length and width, not how many sf it covers. This measurement tells us how many strips we can get per sheet. 3rd: How many square feet does each tiled sheet cover? 4th: How many tiled sheets are in a box? Usually this is 5 or 10 sheets but I've seen some that have more than 10. 5th: How many square feet does the entire box of sheeted tiles is covered? IF YOU COULD PLEASE REMEMBER, we need these 5 measurements for ALL of the boxed tile that you are selling !!!!!!!!! This information would be most helpful !! THANK YOU !!!catingamtns on Feb 2, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
