I used this product as a kitchen backsplash. It's a great product...when the tiles align! Yes, some of them do not align and they came broken to boot. I had to order another full box to finish a small project. In short, I paid for an extra box because some of the tiles in the first shipment were broken and/or did not align. Super disappointed. I'm hoping Overstock will provide me w/some sort of credit. :)Read More
Haven't installed yet but the tile is exactly what I was looking for.Read More
I am happy with the purchase ... however, I had to purchase an entire box of the tile when I needed only a few "sheets" of tile for the job. As a result, I am left with a considerable amount of wasted tile ... Yes . . . I know ... I can dream up another job, but the tile is so very color and style specific that it willl be difficult to use in another location.Read More
Heavy tiles not the cheap thin ones you some times find in the big box stores. We used them on the wall behind a claw foot tub and loved them so much we ordered more to put above the shower.Read More
This backsplash is now a focal point in a recent home makeover....it perfectly ties together black granite countertops, white cabinets and stainless steel appliances and neutral grey paint on the walls (and accents a blue/grey decorative rock wall in the adjacent family room.Read More
Very modern look for a kitchen backsplash. Several of the sheets were not aligned properly so I had to order another box. Overstock compensated me 20% for the problem. I was very pleased with that (Overstock) considering a local store would probably be able to give me what I needed to finish the job. But do your due diligence prior to installation and make sure that none of your sheets have problems.Read More

How to Tile an Accent Wall

In fact, if you tile the wall yourself, you will be saving hundreds of dollars in money that you would otherwise be paying someone else.
Tips on Removing Kitchen Tiles
Kitchen tiles, frequently installed as a backsplash behind a kitchen counter or stove, provide a water-resistant and easily-washable surface. While tile is a long-term decorative feature in most kitchens, you may want to remove wall tiles if you update your cabinets or remodel your kitchen. The adhesive used to install wall tiles forms a strong bond, so it may take some time and effort to remove. Here are some tips for preparing the wall for the application of new kitchen wall tile.
How to Choose Tile for a Shower
Shower tiles serve two functions: They add to a bathroom's decor, and they protect the drywall underneath from moisture. There is no limit to how you can use wall tiles, from borders to shower murals. What you choose will depend on several factors, including your color scheme, the material used for the tile, and maintenance in the future. These tips will help you narrow down your choices as you shop for tile for a shower.
Best Types of Tile for Kitchen Countertops
Tile kitchen countertops are an affordable alternative to traditional solid stone units. Countertop tile can be made from many of the most popular materials, such as granite or quartz, yet costs just a fraction of the price. Tile countertops are also easy to install and repair, making them the perfect project for the DIY homeowner. Ceramic. Ceramic tile is made from natural clay that is baked to remove excess moisture. It is available in a wide variety of colors and designs that can be mixed and matched to any kitchen. Ceramic tile is affordable, easy to install and very low maintenance. It is also waterproof and able to withstand high temperatures from hot dishes. If you choose ceramic tile for your kitchen countertops, you should be aware that ceramic tile can crack or chip if heavy objects are dropped on it. To minimize grout stains, you can choose a dark grout and use a grout sealer to protect the seams from dirt. Mosaic. Mosaic tile comes in tiny 1-inch square units. It is often sold in large sheets that are attached to a mesh backer-board, making for easy and fast installation. These tiles can be mixed to create unique patterns and textures, and are very durable. One advantage of mosaic tiles is that they are colored all the way through, so a chip or crack will not be as visible as with ceramic tile. Granite. Granite tile is a natural stone product that is widely popular in kitchen decor. Tiles made from granite offer the beauty of natural stone at a fraction of the cost. Granite tiles often have a mottled surface that helps to hide dirt and fingerprints and are incredibly strong and long-lasting. Like all granite products, these tiles must be sealed after installation and at least once a year for the duration of their use. Quartz. Quartz tile is a manufactured product designed to look similar to granite while offering superior performance. It is made from crushed quartz crystals pressed together with resin. Quartz tile has a smooth and uniform surface with a consistent grain. It is slightly less expensive than granite and is much more durable and long-lasting. Unlike granite, quartz tiles do not need to be sealed. They are completely nonporous, which prevents bacteria from becoming trapped in the surface. Quartz cannot be repaired as easily as granite, however, and it offers none of the natural beauty and color variation of real stone. View All Tile Back to Guides Directory View All Tile

How to Buy a Wet Saw
A wet saw is a useful power tool for anyone who will be cutting tile. Wet saws achieve a clean cut without breaking the tile by using a diamond-encrusted blade that rotates the saw through a pan of water as it cuts. The water keeps the saw blade cool, which prevents tile breakage and helps protect the saw's motor. Some wet saws are also capable of cutting through dense metals and brick.
