Worked exactly as described - the room is almost pitch black now. A side bonus was they helped kill noise. I live in a downtown area, and I normally hear the trash trucks go every morning and the birds chirping as the sun comes up. It's much more muffled now.The curtains themselves are a foamy type material - not like previous ones I've got from other companies. I'm really impressed with them, especially for the price.
I purchased these drapes in Navy - they are perfect. They have a wonderful soft feel & slight sheen, yet are heavy enough to hang well. I like the back 'tabs' ... very easy to put up. The drapes are are a great color - true Navy. They seem to work well as both black-out and insultating. I will purchase another set for my den. Highly recommend them!

I ordered the pink curtains for my daughter's room and love them! They hang so nicely and the color is perfect for her room. They also block out the sunlight from her East facing window, which should help her (and me!) get some extra sleep in the morning. I wish I had found these curtains years earlier!

I ordered these curtains in navy blue for the nursery. We have older windows and it gets really drafty in there so we figured we would try these before splurging and getting new windows. Well, they did the trick. Not only do they look great but they keep the cold out. Also, we have really large windows and I was worried they weren't going to fit but they did-perfectly! I am so pleased with my purchase. I am going to order them for our bedroom and the living room too!

These curtains do not look like most insulated curtains - the hang like regular curtains - but are thick and double-lined to keep out summer heat and winter cold.. I bought three sets one navy, one royal and one ivory. The lighter colored ivory is not a true blackout curtain. It really should be categorized as an opaque curtain. It was for this reason that I gave the product 4 stars instead of 5 stars for appearance. The curtains also come with tiebacks, which makes them easy to use as well. These are a great value.

I hung 9 sets of these curtians in our home the other day. They are thick, soft and beautiful! I can't believe the quality for the price! I highly recommend these to everyone and anyone. I closed them during the day and the room was dark! I'm ordering more today for my 2 year old's room. Nap time will be much easier now!

I bought this based on the reviews here. It doesn't block out the light 100% but I'd say it comes pretty close. I have the brown and they look wonderful in our room.The best thing has been that our kids sleep two or three hours longer in the mornings now and nap much better during the day as well. If you have little kids, get these! I love these curtains and I'm going to buy a few more for the other bedrooms in our house.

I am a nurse who works 3a to 3p and sleep from 6p to 1a, this really helps to make the room dark, in fact I can barely see or feel to get to the bathroom at night, be careful.......they are kind of a shiny material and don't give the appearance of high quality material but they do the job as far as being thermal on the windows and keeping the light out....very pleased.
