I bought 3 of these for my granddaughter's new "big girl" room and, WOW!, were we impressed!!! I'm a careful shopper - knew what I wanted to get her, read the reviews, made sure it was OK with her parents, and then ordered them. First, the fabric is amazing - VERY HIGH QUALITY! (I worked in a textile market at one time and know enough about fabrics to speak intelligently on the subject.) The granddaughter's new room is in the front of their home and has windows facing the south and west so I knew they needed something that was going to be insulating and block the sun - these fit the bill perfectly. They look so nice hanging and everyone that has seen them has commented on them in a positive way. I've got to tell you I truly wish there were more colors available because I'm seriously considering buying more for use in my own home!!!

I reviewed the comments prior to buying the curtains; and they met my expectations.They are very dark; muffles sound also only item was one curtain top seam stitching is wide stitches therefore, light comes thru. My son is on the night shift and slips during the day and blackout curtains were necessary - he loves them!!!

We bought these for our bedroom to help keep it a little darker and for privacy. I ordered the beige/khaki color and it looks nice--not too yellow or brown. They block out most of the light and we have really enjoyed being able to sleep in without the sun beaming in. Now that said, they don't completely block out every bit of light, but it certainly is good enough for us to fall asleep or stay asleep with our East-facing windows. The tie feature takes a few minutes to get tied up, but it looks nice when you do. We usually only put our curtains up on the weekend since we both work all day, but if you wanted to do this daily, it might be a bit of a hassle. As for the quality, the fabric is nice and attractive and seems to be resistant to wrinkles. Haven't washed them, so can't speak to that, but the quality seems high enough, especially considering the price. I'm thinking of getting more of these for other windows in our house.

I bought a pair of the burgundy tie up shades and they were exactly as I'd hoped. The fabric is fairly heavy and feels very smooth. The ties are a little awkward but workable. They look nice. They were a little more expensive than I'd have liked and there's no way to know their long-term value until after washing them.

This is a great product. The material is room darkening. It is easily hung. It looks stylish and is very easy to care for. I am going to buy more of these for other bedrooms in my home.

Purchased these black out curtains for front bedroom(2) dormers that had starlight,moonlight, sunlight and street light streaming through them at all hours of the day and night. When I had a house full of guest coming, I ordered and put up this shade and it blocked all light at night and about 90% of East/South sunlight exposure during the day. I would highly recommend these to all night shift workers like myself because after 30 years of sleepless days, I can finally get a good days rest. I purchased the black out curtains and they provide a 90% decrease in room light. I've since put a valance over the window and have to use a room light or flash light during the day to see it's that dark. I am a 30 year night shift veteran.....Buy them!!! Buy them in the darkest color available (Ihave navy blue and black) and get a good night sleep.

I have recently bought six of these, in four different colors. For anyone who suffers migrains these are a must have, they block out all light. I do believe im saving money also with these shades, in late afternoon when the sun is beating on my home usually the A/C is always running, the A/C isnt running half as much now. I will be back to purchase more.

I was surprised how nice this curtain was. We don't have it right up against the window so that does let in a bit of light around the sides but it blocks out most of it. I was also surprised at how soft and smooth the material was and how it does not wrinkle after having it tied up all day.

This definitely keeps the room dark but the sewing isn't real good and I can see light where the stitches are and it is horrible to tie up.

Thiese blackout curtains were even nicer than I expected. I just ordered another one for my daughter. Beautiful color, beautiful fabric, really BLOCKS out the light.....Terrific

We bought this for my son's room. His bedtime is 8:00, but during half of the year, it's still daylight outside at 8:00. It's a little hard to convince a child that it's nighttime when it's clearly daytime outside. This shade does the trick. The material is also great; does not look cheap at all.

These shades are very good quality and nice material, not as room darkening as I imagined but they do darken the room.

I am very happy with my purchase. We are using the shades for our baby's room. The really do a great job blocking out light. The material seems to be high quality and looks great.

Worth the money spent on this item. Washed them and they didn't have any discoloration or issues after. Easy to hang and adjust. They do exactly as they say, blocks out the light and does help with noise.

I ordered beige shades for our bedroom and was very disappointed. These shades aren't even close to being "blackout." Room darkening, yes. Blackout, no.

This shade is wonderfully sturdy. The fabric feels luxurious and is very strong and thick. We dont use the ties much though. I will be purchasing at least 1 more. Overstock hasnt failed to please me yet.

I'm so happy with this curtain! The color (I bought the beige) and construction are excellent and it really does seem to block out 99% of outdoor light. The fabric is thick but also soft with a nice hand so it drapes nicely when tied up.

Beautiful fabric, soft drape and truly keeps the room dark, the one drawback , they must be tied up each day and require a bit of work to get the look of a true pull up shade. I ordered the blue and it is a soft grey-blue color.

We are quite satisfied with these blackout drapes. They are tie-up curtains and hang very nicely as the material is soft and thick. The color is perfect, dark blue. I placed them on extension rods to avoid light coming through the top or sides of the curtains. They give a warm cozy feeling to the bedroom.The only fault I found with the curtains is the seam between the top and bottom of the panel is stitched in a fashion that lets a small amount of light to come through. However I would certainly buy more of the black-out curtains or drapes from "O".
