This is my 3rd set of 800+ thread count sheets - won't buy anything else.

First-time Overstock customer. Purchased 800 count sateen king sheet set with 2 pillowcases...would have preferred 4 cases being included. BUT the quality is exactly what we had previously and LOVE. The key to softness is to wash upon arrival in cold water, delicate cycle and dry with quality fabric softener on delicate as well. I agree with previous comments that the gold was not as pictured...it is more of a burnt gold, almost brass. Oddly enough, it matched the gold in our comforter better than the "traditional" gold I have in other items. We had no wrinkling, the pockets were deep enough and the sheets are generously sized. We also ordered a down comforter and have absolutely no complaints with either purchase. I will definitely use Overstock.com again.

We were looking to buy sheets that were at least 800 thread count. Overstock.com has some sheets but not a lot. We were specifically looking for 800 tc, sateen, striped gold sheets. We found sateen and gold but not striped. The gold is more of a mix between olive and gold. It is very dark and does not match my decor at all. It is not the color pictured.

After reading the reviews I thought these sheets may not be the best quality but that the color would be good. Those reviews were accurate. Despite the thread count, these sheets are still very stiff after several washings. Certainly not "silky," which was a search term I used. I got them in purple, and they're beautiful. So, if color is more important than comfort these sheets are for you.

II'm picky about sheets so I think it's hard to find good sheets, especially when shopping online. I chose these because I love sateen, and for 800 thread count, you can't find a better deal. They don't wrinkle as much as other cotton, they are sturdy, but soft, and the sateen finish gives them a nice glow! I feel like I'm sleeping in a four star hotel (I bought them in White). My only complaint would be that the pillow cases are slightly snug on my larger pillow, but I would definitely buy them again in other colors, and recommend them to a friend or parents. Especially for sheet snobs like myself! :)
