I like the design of the lamp. But there are two things need to be considered before buying it.1, Standard light bulb will stick out of the top, and is very visible. I changed to a smaller size light bulb, then it is fine, but it is not as bright as I want it to be.2, I am not sure if I did something wrong, after I tighted all the screws( as much as I can), the two poles are still movable (could be twisted to left and right).
Ordered this on a Wednesday; it arrived Friday!
The only difficult thing about this lamp was getting it out of the package (very secure!) Notthing extra is needed for assembly, since the special-sized tool is included. (Hint: Tape the little tool to the back of the middle switchplate section, in case you ever need to relocate, or disassemble the lamp.)
The styling is sleek, with graceful flared conical light shades, (the swingarm halogen lamp even has a directional rod that pretects from burns, when adjusting the angle. And a UV lens cover!)
I recommend this torchiere to anyone needing a great-priced floorlamp, but who might have less floorspace than what a traditional, bigger "footprint" lamp would take.
