I want to say first and foremost that people need to curb their expectations a little bit. In my case these shades were under $****/each which is far, far cheaper than you can expect to pay for solar shades. You do, in fact, get what you pay for. As other reviewers have stated these are black, not 'bronze'. I'm not sure what the confusion is with Overstock but they should fix the mislabeling (I actually they would sell better if people knew it was black). For me this wasn't a problem, I wanted a dark shade so this works out perfectly. Some folks have complained about the measurements, but I ordered the 31" version and that's what I got, with hardware mounted. The roll itself is probably around 29", so you need to make sure to measure properly for your window, I did the inside mount and it was exactly what I needed. The shades themselves are made relatively well. The material is decent and the mounting hardware is solid enough. Mounting it on my window took me about 10 minutes. I've had them for a few weeks and I notice the pull to put the shade up and down is starting to not hold it's position. You raise it up and it falls down a little, or doesn't stay in place. I haven't investigated as to wether I can fix it or not, but as I stated above - you get what you pay for and these are cheap. If you want something similar that's made a little better check the ***** at *****.

this is the second set i purchased. the price was right for what i needed them for and i really do like them. but like i said you get what you pay for.

I am please with the shades especially for the money. It has made some difference. We live on a very high hill, no shade, west sun, high ceilings, several 72" length windows and a french door. So the afternoon sun can really heat things up especially with the extreme heat we've been having. It has helped.

i purchased this product to protect new carpet from scorching afternoon sun here in the rockies. i actually cut and used the fabric to cover several windows. by serging on my machine and hanging with velcro sticky patches, i've successfully protected my new carpet and costly window treatments. and the fabric is truly a great solar shield and lowers the heat coming off the windows. hooray for me!!

I love these shades. They weren't as private as I would like but the look great and work well the room. I order three for my son's room.

Excellent value, especially for the price. Sort of a vinyl mesh, but quite effective.

These shades are very easy to install and are nice looking. If you are looking for something inexpensive to cut out direct sunlight these are great.
