    • Great Bedroom Conversion

      I bought this sofa to convert an empty bedroom into a guest room that could also serve as a 'study.' This piece is a nice middle-ground between the poor comfort aspects of a traditional roll-out sofa (those unfortunately placed cross-bars that seem to bite into your back) and more typical futons, which I've never liked the look of. This piece is a good value- though definitely a two-person assembly job; and, if you're not mechanically inclined, be prepared to really focus on the instructional photos rather than the words! First time assembly was easy- 'til we realized the entire thing was backwards when you moved it from flat to sitting position! Once we figured it out though, it went together well and looks very good. At first glance, it definitely looks like a comfy sofa and you'd never guess that it's a futon. The mechanism allows you to lock into place upright; one notch reclining; and flat- where it makes an extremely comfortable double bed. The futon itself is an inner-spring coil mattress, covered by foam and the cover is also padded. When laid flat, it all rests on boards- no cross-bars. Outer material is very nice quality too. Pay attention to the dimensions- they're accurate, and it IS big...at least as large as any family room sofa so if you're using in a small space, that needs to be considered. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

      What a great couch! Can't go wrong for the price. This thing is sooooooo comfortable and has 3 positions! Highly recommended . Looks great too!

      very comfortable in upright position,good quality fabric,pleasant to look at-easy to fold up and down.in the open position(flat like a bed)there is a big split down the middle,making it impossible to lay together w/ someone else-there are two separate sides that are too small to sleep comfortably in.within a few months the cheap stamped steel brackets deformed making it impossible to open or close,it kinda stays at half mast.then the bracket bolts pull out of the cheesey particle board structure,making it further useless.within 3 years i sawed it in half with a chain saw and threw the pieces in the dumpster.great investment.

    • Good couch

      This is a good couch. Excellecent value for the money and very easy to assembly. Looks very good when finished and converts back and forth between a flat bed and a couch very easiliy. There are some minor workmanship issues such as a bent spring on one part of the cushion but it's more of an annoyance than anything else.

      Love the sofa, it looks great and is amazingly comfortable. Great value. It was a bit challenging to assemble by myself but I did it. So pleased. So so so much better than a futon and not as heavy as a sofa sleeper. Yeah!!!!
