We wanted a platform bed because our old bed with boxspring was too high. We had already purchased a 12" memory foam mattress from Overstock. This was perfect. It's simple, sturdy, looks great and provides great support. I enjoyed assembling it. I am very handy so it might be more of a job for someone less so. E.g., 28 screws to attach slats to side-frame. Then we bought an inflatable headboard. What a fun idea! We love that too. Ala Insp. Clouseau... "if we bimp our hids, it weell nut het us a beet!"

Purchased this for a guest room. It arrived within 3-4 days. Although it did not come with instructions, they were not necessary - it's pretty self explanatory. I would highly recommend having a drill with a phillips bit or an electric screwdriver of some sort for all of the screws for the slats.I also purchased a memory foam bed at the same time. Not sure if the foam bed was larger than a standard queen or the frame is a hair too narrow, but the bed does not fit perfectly within the frame. This is not apparent once bedding is added, however and does not affect comfort.Last I saw, this item was sold out....if it comes avaialbable again, I would purchase another one for our vacation Condo.

I purchased the memory foam and a platform bed to go with it. I recevied all the same day. I was SO excited to set it all up. When I opened the box for the bed, I found they ship it with the pegs alrady in the side rail and it is connected to the legs. Some big footed boy stepped on the box and broke the leg off the side rail. Who ships with it already together????? I guess this company does. Bad idea. So I can't really give the bed a full review. Hey big footed boy quit stepping on the boxes. Your company will save a lot of money by giving you walking lessons!!!!

This bed frame is very solid and relatively easy to put together. One warning ... the legs stick out about 2 inches to the ends and sides of the bed, which looks fine, but causes a problem with headboards. No headboard ... no problem. If you do have a headboard, though, and don't want a 2-inch gap into which pillows fall (particularly if you have big, fancy-sham covered pillows you stand up against the headboard), you'll need a mattress-height-by-2-inch smoothly finished wood or other solid material board to slide between the mattress and the wall/headboard, and set on top of the 2-inch top of the legs' "platform." You could also custom-build a headboard that sets atop the legs' platform.

The bed arrived with all necessary parts and was straightforward to assemble. Been using it for more than a week and am very satisfied with it. Just one "plan for this" note: The legs extend a couple of inches beyond the mattress frame. At the head of the bed, this poses an engineering problem when attaching a headboard -- a 2-inch gap between the mattress and the headboard, through which pillows can slip down to the floor or just sag down when you lean back against them to read or watch TV. I solved it by inserting a cut-to-size piece of wood between the mattress and headboard, resting on the top of the "shelf" of the tops of the legs. Maybe you'll think of another creative solution.

Quick shipping, and bed arrived in 2 boxes which was packed great with no damage. Quality of bed is better than expected and perfect for guest bedroom. Espresso color and stout legs were perfect to attach a seagrass headboard of my choice to. Definitely a bed to purchase, you won't regret it! And yes, I put it together myself (female 45), with a little help from my husband (power drill use for slats-every 2 slats screwed in, not every board as it was not necessary). AWESOME PURCHASE!!

We ordered this bed for our guest room. It is just like the picture - dark wood, clean lines. It is nicely constructed and easy to assemble.Would recommend this item.

We are VERY happy with this bed for three reasons. One, it's very solid and sturdy. It doesn't budge, wiggle, squeak, etc. You can jump on the bed and it doesn't move at all. All the wood pieces are heavy, solid pieces and the hardware is all hefty and good quality. Second, the finish and the style look great. Third, it turns out this bed is made by LIFESTYLE SOLUTIONS. We had a bought two LS nightstands in espresso in December with the intentions to buy the matching bed. But the matching bed was discontinued. So it was a happy accident that we chose this bed - it matches the finish of our nightstands exactly. The "espresso" is medium-dark reddish brown, and the grain pattern is more subtle than what is pictured on the website. As other reviews have said, it's easy to put together. The siderails attach to the footboard and headboard with two bolts per end into pre-drilled holes; the center support attaches to the slats with the four support legs (which are all nicely finished to match the bed's finish), and the slats attach to the siderails with provided screws (use a power drill). Actual dimensions are that the box spring/mattress rests on the slats at 10.5 inches high. The bottom of the sideboard is at 7.5 inches and the top is at 12.25 inches. With our box spring and mattress, the overall height is roughly 29 inches. Length is 86 inches and width is 62.5 inches. Our queen mattress and box spring fit perfectly with just enough room to spare. The legs that stick out really don't stick out that much; I was a little afraid, but now that it's here in person, I realize it's not really an issue. We have the bedframe flush against the wall, and the mattress sits at 3.5 inches from the wall. If you want a headboard for this bed, your best option would be to have a wall-mounted headboard which is what we're going to do. Or, as another reviewer said, you can just use pillows to cover the gap.

This is a very nice looking platform bed. But, the center support bar is hard to keep steady. If you move the bed, it often falls and is a pain to place into position again.. even when it is nailed down to the planks. The planks do not go to the very edge of the platform, so sheets fall in the open space and can be seen falling at the edge of the bed. It's a nice bed for the price, but not something I will keep long term.

If you are in need of a basic platform bed, this one fits the bill. The product is solid and for the price you can't go wrong.

took us about 20 minutes. The slats are joined together by mesh, so you just roll them out.

I love this bed. It is well made and looks beautiful. It was easy to put together and is super sturdy! I also got some drawers from O to match. Very Happy with purchase.

The legs stick out a bit so be careful when walking next to it. Overall it was a good purchase and easy to assemble. The slats are actually more supportive than our old bed spring.

Was happy and relieved to get this bed. Our mattress had been on the floor for too long after a move across country. With no box spring we love this platform bed. It improved the comfort of the mattress, looks modern and nice, matches our XXXX bedroom suite, and was easy to put together. What a deal- the best I found and I shopped around a lot.

I love this bed! I had purchased a foam mattress and box spring a little over a year ago. It came with this cheap piece of crap frame. Which they installed and took my good quailty, expensive metal frame away. This ladies is why you never leave your husband at home to accept delivery without you. For more than a year now everytime I got into bed I held my breath and prayed that the frame did not give out. It just didn't support the bed and despite having a brand new box spring under it, I could feel the bed sagging. Ah, but now I have this beautiful platform bed and I worry no more! I put both the box spring and mattress on it and it sits very high...but I really like it that way. I like climbing into bed instead of falling into it. The first night I didn't sleep too well, I was not used to all the support. I had to get used to not trying to levitate all night. But now, I love it... I sleep soundly all night safe in the knowledge that I will not be awoken abruptly by the thundering crash and jolt of my mattress hitting the floor in the middle of the night. And let me tell you, there is nothing like a good nights sleep. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Nice, sturdy bed. As others mentioned, there is going to be a gap between the mattress and the wall because of how the legs are positioned, but it's negligible with big pillows. It was really easy to put together, but sturdy all the same. A little higher off the floor than I originally anticipated but overall good purchase.

The bed was very easy to put together and so far it seems to be really sturdy. It looks great! Exactly as described on the site. Just a caution- it scuffs very easily, so be careful! I have put a few scratches and dents on it already.

This frame is awesome! It was really easy to assemble. I took the advice of another reviewer who said get an electric screwdriver. The whole process only took about an hour and half and I did it all by myself! My only complaint is that the frame seems to be a little long for my queen bed. But I guess if wanted to assemble a headboard it would be really easy add one on because I have the extra room inside the frame. Long story short, great price, exactly as described, solid product, extremely easy to assemble by one person.

The box was practically ripped in half when it arrived, but the condition of the bed was fine. It went together easily and looks great in our guest room. The only downside is that with the location and shape of the legs, the bed frame sticks out from the wall more than I would like.

The bed is a lovely dark, rosy wood. We thought it looked more black, and were happy to see the rich red blushing through. We've had the bed a few months now, and I"m happy to report no sagging from our memory foam mattress, no creaking, no problems. This bed looks more expensive than it is, and I've recommend it to anyone. It's truly lovely!
