This is an ideal couch for maximizing seating space while still fitting in a small area.

I bought this love seat a couple years ago when I needed to replace the horrible old furniture at my mom's house, which I was living in and trying to fix up, so the home could be rented in case my mom needed the income. She had dementia and had to be moved into a board and care home just around the corner from her house, where she'd lived for over 53 years! The furniture in the family room had come from Goodwill in the first place, and it was filthy and urine-stained. I needed to spend as little as possible of my mom's funds, yet still get something that looked nice and was suitable. This love seat has a great fabric with these terrific modern neutral tones in the stripe - black, taupe, beige, cream, grey - really pretty and chic, and I knew my mom would approve of it. It IS a bit tough on my behind, as I have no padding back there - it could be softer, but it is a sturdy and nice looking piece of furniture that easily goes into any color scheme. I later moved the love seat into the living room after my mom died and I inherited the house, where it sits right beneath the front picture window. My Russian Blue cat, Jay, loves to sit on the back of this loveseat and look out the window, and he looks like a decorative accessory or objet d'art posed so artfully there. Of course, the stripe complements the rich, velvety plush grey of his fur and it is a nice tonal look. I love the Angelo:HOME collection. Really affordable furniture that is not only good looking and inexpensive, but also well-made from high grade components and materials and require very minimal assembly, like screwing the legs on or something like that. I would recommend this entire line to anyone who wants nice things on a budget - college students, or those furnishing their first home or apartment, or when you need to spruce up a neglected space without spending a lot of money. Most loveseats and sofas in places like Macy's and even other discount furniture stores charge anywhere from $XXX to $XXXXX for sofas and loveseats. It's crazy, I might spend more for an antique piece with intrinsic value, but if you just need an attractive, sturdy place to park your butt, then pick something from the Angelo:HOME collection and you will do quite nicely. I managed to completely redecorate and refurnish my mom's family room for less than $XXXXX - and that included lighting, area rugs, drapes, a sofa, a loveseat, a chair and accent pillows - all from Overstock.com. Mom was VERY impressed when she came over and saw it, and she asked if I had hired a decorator! When she found that I had picked out everything myself, and had done it online, and had only spent $XXXXX of her money to do it, she had tears in her eyes and hugged me, and told me I was her good and talented daughter. To see her so pleased with the way I had redone that room was deeply moving to me - esp. in light of the fact that she had been entirely against anything new and had resisted "modern" furniture and décor. Her confidence in me went way up after that and I know I felt swollen with pride knowing she was so proud of me and what I had accomplished with very little money and no previous experience in decorating or furniture buying. In my opinion, you really cannot go wrong shopping here. The deals are great and the selection is vast, and I have never had any problems with customer service or returns or refunds. Thanks, Overstock.com! Margaret Scandurra Fex San Mateo, California

I am disappointed in the color of the sofa. Although a beautiful color, it does not match the chairs I bought, as is NOT the same color as the picture. I like the lines of the sofa, and it fits well in my livingroom. I wish I could return it, but that would cost too much.

Very pleased so far. It arrived undamaged and was easy to assemble. The color was the shade of blue I expected and I looks great.

The sofa finally arrived and it is just beautiful. There were no reviews of the blue velvet when I made the purchase and the photos make it hard to feel what the color and quality of the velvet will be. This sofa exceeded my expectations! The proportions are really nice, not too big and yet big enough. Not too firm, yet supportive. I was concerned based on the Q and A about the cushions. The seat fusions are not reversible, but you do not see the white fabric underneath at all. The back cushions are fully covered on all sides. The only problem so far for us is that this is probably there worst couch you could buy if you have a dog or cat that sheds. This couch sucks in pet hair like nothing I have ever seen before, so the challenge now will be training the dog not to go on it, or having it covered most of the time. It's still BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Although I am happy with the sofa, there are some things you should know before you buy. This is not a sofa whose assembly means screw on the feet. It was not difficult to put together, but it did take some time (50 minutes) and I did break the Allen wrench that came with it in the process. It truly does look exactly like the pic when assembled and if you are looking for a sofa to put in a room where it's use is mainly for show, then this is your piece! If you are looking for a soft, comfy couch to enjoy reading nightly in, then I would not recommend you buy. It is an extremely firm couch - or hard, if you ask my husband.

Happy to add my enthusiastic thumbs-up to the earlier reviews. Sofa arrived this past weekend and it is absolutely gorgeous, very high quality, solidly built, and very comfy. I looked everywhere for a similar sofa, and did find several at much higher prices (double or more). Like others I was really nervous about ordering a sofa sight unseen (or "sight un-sat-on"), but I decided to trust all the positive reviews and made the leap. While waiting for it to arrive I almost talked myself out of it and cancelled the order, but I am SO glad I didn't. Let me just reiterate all the positives stated in earlier reviews and not waste more space on that. Simply, yes, its all that! It may be more helpful to address some of the unanswered questions or concerns of other reviewers, if it helps you to decide. First, THE COLOR: I ordered the blue, and after doing so, was most nervous that perhaps it would not be the blue I was hoping for, a deep navy. Let me assure you that if you want a navy sofa, you will get one in this sofa! Yes, color is in the eyes of the beholder, and there are countless shades of "navy." But I feel by any definition, this is a navy sofa. (And I agree, Overstock, fabric samples would be awesome). COMFORT: This is a very comfy and very supportive sofa. It is not a super "soft" one, if you compare it to a down-filled sofa (which this is NOT). Personally I don't like down-filled sofas, as I don't love sinking far back on the back cushions and deep into the seat cushions. If that's the kind you like, you might find this too "hard." But everyone in my family -- kids and adults included -- agree that this is "fall asleep comfy," cushions are really thickly stuffed, and I love that. SIZE/MOVING IT IN: Happily, we had no problem getting this in the house. The delivery guys unpacked it outside and got it through a 35" door opening in seconds flat, despite the 44" depth of the sofa. But this is a big sofa. Agree with earlier reviewers: measure your space carefully and make sure this will work with your space and existing furniture, as it is definitely deeper than your average sofa. Overstock measurements are accurate. And kudos by the way on the shipping experience. It took about 3-1/2 weeks to arrive, shippers were great, and the included-in-the-price "white glove" service went perfectly so thanks Overstock (making this an even better value!). Finally, a word about the sofa fabric. I'm not sure I'd call this true velvet. I think if velvet and ultra suede had a baby, it would be this fabric. But its wonderfully soft and luminous like velvet, and I think probably more durable and easier to clean than velvet, so its just fine with me. And at least in the navy color, its really impossible to see the difference. You should just know. I think that covers it. I highly recommend this sofa, hard to imagine anyone would regret it. It is a total score!

The sofa come in one big box. I (female) put it together in less than 20 minutes - SUPER EASY! It is not the most comfortable sofa. A bit hard. And some what straight up in the back. The style is very 50s/60s. It is a little taller than I expected. All together, fabulous. Love it, and look forward to updating the little apartment around this nice sofa.

GREAT small space sofa. Stylish. Lovely soft blue velvet. Nice and firm, yet comfortable. Being "middle aged" I like a firmer sofa - so that I don't sink into it and get stuck! :-) My Major Complaint is that you LITTERALLY have to build it from scratch! Fortunately, I'm pretty handy and it comes with the tools and relatively clear instructions with drawings. I would NOT recommend this to anyone who isn't relatively strong and accustomed to building things - or has someone to do it for them. Otherwise VERY pleased with this fun little sofa.

Lively sofa...feels great when u lay on it..or sit with an ottoman below ur. Feet. Keeps ur back straight up...very easy to assemble...however the color on here is nothing compared to the color I got..please be aware it is more of a green color than blue..it's more of a green turquoise than blue..so if u are going with a blue theme in ur living room be careful...I had to rethink my color scheme...overall a great sofa..just a little stiff...

The color of this sofa is horrible. It is not pewter. I just got it in the mail and was excited to open it. Only to find the the material was more just black, tan, and pewter striped. Definitely multiple colored. You can see a close up of the fabric on the actual sofab website.

I needed a sofa for a smaller living area and this one fits perfectly. Nice color, very easy to assemble (by myself - took less than one hour with the included tools) and the sofa itself is very comfortable. The great thing about this sofa, and the reason why I purchased it, is the style. It is not an over sized sofa for lounging - with a seat length of 55" it is more akin to a larger loveseat.

We moved into a small cottage and needed a "sofa" for the living room. This loveseat is perfect for small rooms. The color was perfect for my asian decor. It is comfy and the delivery was fast. Will be back for more from Overstock when we move into a permenant residence.

I was taking a huge chance ordering this loveseat online. I had shopped everywhere I could think of locally and did not find anything in this style and in my budget. I relied on the reveiws to make my decision. Not only was the price very good, the quality of the sofa is very very good. I love the sleek strong lines but the gentle look and feel of the loveseat. It goes well with my bold chocolate brown and beige zebra print chair and blends nicely with my persian aqua blue and gold rug. I can't wait to finish the parlor and place all the furniture in it's perfect spot. Thanks OS.

I am very pleased with this sofa. It appears to be well made. It did take a full six weeks to be delivered and the wait was difficult. The striped pillows are ugly, but that is a minor problem. I walked through over twenty furniture stores before I gave up and shopped Overstocked. Glad I did.

I have a very small, yet cozy sitting room in an older period home where I like to read and watch some television. This fit perfectly. The versatile paisley print matches everything from my sage green walls to the corals in my oriental carpet and my burnt orange colored striped drapes. I love it. I'm now looking for an ottoman to go with.

I loved the way the product looked with the lights off, but the minute I turned the light on I was devistated. The two pieces did not match. One half was yellowish, while the other was more pink. One of the leg pieces was striped, and the foot wouldn't stay on. I loved the idea of the product, but the actual piece was a huge disappointment. I did not reorder.

This is a nice little sofa. I needed something small and ready to assemble for my remodeled attic space. This was the perfect pick. The assembly was easy and went much faster when I grabbed another hex wrench so we could both tighten at the same time. The back isn't an issue for me as it backs up to a wall, but I don't think it would be much of an issue if it showed. If you pull the fabric tightly when attaching to the velcro, it looks fine. The sofa is small, more like a loveseat. The cushions are firm, but not overly firm as some reviewers have said. It's very comfy. The pillows were a nice surprise. I expected to replace them with ones of better quality but I love them. The fabric is very rich-looking and the colors are vibrant. Love this little sofa!

I was nervous about making such a large purchase for a piece of furniture that will be used every day without seeing the item first, but the other reviews helped me decide. This is a lovely couch. The velvet fabric is high quality, the seat depth is generous. The color is a nice warm neutral. The cushions are a bit firm to start, but I think that is a good sign this furniture will hold up over time. The throw pillows are also nicely made, but the muted stripes did not appeal to me. I bought some brightly colored handmade covers on ***. Perfect. Delivery was as expected. Shipping took about five weeks.

I just received this loveseat, and I could have never imagined that it would have taken 2 hours and 4 people to put together a sofa with only 2 major pieces. I have assembled a lot of furniture, and this was by far the most frustrated I've ever been. The holes and screws don't match up well at all, and it took a lot of patience and diligence to finally make it work. It was basically luck that we finally got the screws to go in at all. The tint of the grey is in fact blue, which was I was aware of because I read other reviews which mentioned that. And lastly, one of the legs (already attached) came chipped and the bottom of the seat cushion is not a straight line-- it dips down a little. The one positive is that it looks fine overall.
