Sofas & Loveseats

If you are looking to revive your living room, the best place to start is with new living room furniture. The sofa and loveseat are the center of your furniture arrangement, which makes them logical first step when you're making over your front room. And since this is where you'll gather with family and friends over the years, take your time and choose pieces you'll be happy to have in your home for a long time.
When you decide to get a new sofa, the first decision to make is what material you prefer. If you're looking for a traditional, elegant look, you may want to consider leather. Leather couches are built for comfort; the luxurious feeling of leather is unmistakable. Pair one with a matching leather loveseat or coordinate with a loveseat in a complementary color or a classic pattern.
If you pride yourself on your cool, contemporary design sense, consider a microfiber couch in a bold color. If you like to change the look of your living room, look for a sofa in a neutral color, like grey or beige, and layer colorful throw pillows on it. If you need a place for house guests to rest, finish your room with a clever sofa bed or sleeper sofa.
How formal do you want your living room to feel? If you want guests to feel like they can relax and chat all evening, look for a comfortable pillow-back sofa with upholstered arms. If you want a formal feeling, look for a tufted back sofa.
Whether you are looking to toss your tired, old living room sofa or you are searching for your very first couch, this is the place to find it.

I don't believe that after all the years I have been making purchases from Overstock.com this would be the one time that I would be let down. I purchased this sofa and the matching chair for my small place. The chair arrived in great condition and it is very comfortable. The sofa arrived a few days after the chair and the box that it came in looked like it had been patched together using several other boxes. I wasn't home to send it back so I decided to open it and put it together to my great sadness the sofa had snags, the fabric on the bottom is ripped and the cushions have no covers!

  • VERY Disappointed - Not worth the trouble

    Dec 5, 2014

    runningwolfe  from Atlanta, Rating:3.0

The sleek design, color and size were perfect for my space, so I was every excited when it arrived. That soon faded once I put it together. One of the front legs sat a good 1 1/2 inches off the ground, which caused the sofa to list to one side. I checked to make sure it wasn't the legs, and then brought in my brother to have a look. Sure enough, the frame was warped. I was VERY disappointed! I opted for a replacement, rather than accept a discount if I kept it. Why would I want to pay, even at a discount, for a sofa that couldn't be fixed. ROUND 2: The second sofa arrived soon thereafter. I was impressed with the speed at which they got the second sofa to me. I was gain excited. I honestly couldn't believe it. At first I thought it was me, but no, one of the legs couldn't be attached because someone at the manufacturing end hadn't placed the receiving bracket in the right place. Thankfully, I'm a handy woman and simply moved it myself, but I shouldn't have to do that. ...

  • Nice looking, but don't sit on it

    Dec 6, 2014

    Marilyn J  from Kansas, Rating:2.0

Absolutely love the look of this couch, but in just a few weeks the cushions are becoming misshapen, and you can feel the springs in them as well. There is minimal use of this couch, so I am guessing it would not hold up to people sitting on it on a daily basis. The color and materials are great, and like I said, love the looks of it, but it's a couch - you should be able to sit on it!

  • Amanda White Corner Sofa more like a bench

    Dec 18, 2014

    greentealattelady  from Seattle, Rating:3.0

This couch seats and feels more like a bench, like a wooden bench. It is hard as a rock. But it's stylized and looks super cool. It is not very deep, so don't even think about laying down on your tummy and reading a book. If you are over a size 6 (women), one of your hips is going to be hanging off the side of the couch. It is more like a vintage train station bench, like in Grand Central Station. It looks gorgeous, it looks solid, but it is incredibly lightweight and the leather is incredibly thin. However, my son marked on it and it came right up with a Magic Sponge, so that was great. It is easy to move around, assemble and disassemble, so that has been excellent as well. I just don't think a couch this uncomfortable should cost almost $****, but style over substance is definitely worth something, and I paid for it, and I actually like how it looks and the function of it for what we needed it for.
