Is there a built in battery charger or do I have to purchase a separate charger?

A littjle expensive (I bought an extra battery). But a wonderful solution for my needs. I am a 70+ woman and can handle this machine EASILY. Had no trouble with the minor assembly. Did 90 foot driveway and 60 foot sidewalk without the battery running out of chsrge. (Snow was 3 inches deep and dry and fluffy rather than wet and heavy) I feel so much more independent with this machine.Go for it, you won't be sorry.Read More
The snow blower was easy to assemble. If there are any issues with assembly there is a Video by Snow Joe that walks you through it. The snow blower works well on the normal snow in the drive way. It is extremely limited as to moving the snow compressed by the snow plows at the end of the drive way.Read More
This snow blower is easy to assemble, starts easily and is very lightweight. I only had a chance to use it on about 4 inches of light snow. It cleared my 2 car driveway, sidewalk and walkway to the house on one charge, in about 20 minutes. It also removed about 2-3 inches of iced over snow the county snowplow left at the end of the driveway. I am satisfied with it but feel it could use more power and be built with stronger materials. The machine itself doesn't feel very sturdy, which makes me wonder about its longevity. I like the electric chute control but I would have liked a manual option too, just in case it stops working. I know this is new technology for a snow blower but I think its price **** over priced. The price would be justified if it came with 2 batteries or if it could be used either corded or cordless. On the plus side, it is electric, cordless, and lightweight. It's convenient to use and there is no need to worry about gas or oil and it's virtually maintenance free. It is easy for women and seniors to use too. I'm skeptical about the longevity of it but I guess I find out. In hindsight, I would have purchased the 15 amp corded electric and saved myself *** dollars.Read More
We have never had a snow blower before and have lived in the upper midwest most of our lives. We didn't want something bulky and didn't want to have to keep buying and storing gasoline for a traditional blower. We live in town on a corner lot with sidewalks and a cement pad in back of our garage. This blower did an excellent job of clearing the snow. The first time I used it I was amazed. In less than ten minutes I had made two passes to clear the width of the sidewalk. My husband did the garage pad and the area that the snowplow had piled up chunks of snow. The blower did a great job. Then my husband tried it on packed snow after the wind had blown and traffic had tramped the snow down. It did a good job on that too. It is not very wide, but that's okay - I'd rather do two passes than fight with a large bulky machine. It is light and is perfect for in-town use. We haven't tried it on a wet heavy snow yet, but I think if can do the walks before the snow gets too deep, we'll be fine. I highly recommend it.Read More
