Great mattress for the money. My son is very pleased w/ it!Read More
Don't get me wrong, I like this mattress. We bought it for our daughter's bottom bunk of her new bunk bed (the mattress she'll be sleeping on for the most part). It's much softer than I expected. I ordered the medium-firm style thinking it would be pretty firm. It's much softer. I don't mind, because a 30 pound child will be on it, and it's firm for her. If it were me and my husband - we would roll right into each other. I don't feel like it's made well for grown adults - as we're not heavy people and with the both of us on the mattress, I sank in toward him. For one person, or a child, I think it's a great value for the money. I'm hoping it's comfortable for her for years to come. But glad I didn't purchase it for my own bed.Read More
This is my first experience with a memory foam mattress, so I was a little apprehensive. I have to say that my fears were unfounded! The first night, it took a little while to get comfortable, but once I did, I slept like a baby...Having slept on a pillow top mattress for that past 12 years this was quite a change. I have woken up the past few mornings pain-free, which hasn't happened in a very long time. All in all, I would definately recommend this to anyone!!!Read More
Nice mattress! If you've not experienced these mattresses before (this was me) just know that they really mean FIRM when they say it. We are using this on a teenagers platform bed without box spring and it does a pretty decent enough job. Their is like 0% bounce to this mattress as the memory foam is no joke. It's comfortable but may take some getting used to if you used box spring/mattress combos. Perfect for people with back issues in my opinion. It's not midgrade it's hard/firm. Not sure if the feel can be modified or changed with use of a box spring or extra padding so I'd be pretty sure you were okay with this before paying for it. Mattress cracked me up. It came in this perfectly compact package but once it caught air I could barely move it myself. I recommend putting it close to where it will be used before opening. I let ours air out for 2 days before using as was suggested, but found no odd odors or issues and would have been totally fine with using it right away.Read More
I rated this good, rather than excellent, because there was an odor that I still smell several days later. I am very sensitive to odors so a regular person might smell nothing at all. I am waiting for a cover to encase the mattress, which should take care of the odor. I got the firm mattress and the 10 inch thickness is very comfortable. I am over 200 lbs and I don't sink down into it, and it springs back when I get up. It sits on a platform, no box spring, and has all the firm supportive comfort I was looking for. I haven't felt hot in LA December temps in the high 70's. I have flannel sheets on it, being too lazy to change them when the weather heated up. Hopefully, the typo in the description has been fixed. It is a true full size mattress, being 54 inches wide, not the 56 inches wide shown in earlier descriptions, and 10 inches thick. I like the 20 year limited warranty and it arrived in a stuff sack, which was a surprise, but I can use the stuff sack when I move it.Read More

Best Pillow-top Mattresses for Back Pain
The key to a good night's sleep when you have chronic back pain is as simple as choosing a good pillow-top mattress. Choosing the best mattress involves knowledge of your personal needs and preferences. To get a comfortable night's sleep, start by choosing a pillow-top mattress made from the right materials for you. Next, choose your preferred thickness. Finally, have firm sleep support underneath the cushions of the pillow-top. Below, you'll learn the best pillow-top mattresses for back pain. Choose the materials: Pillow-top mattresses are made from a variety of materials, so choosing the one that is right for you can make all the difference in the world. People with muscle pain should consider down pillow-top mattresses, which provide a cocoon to sleep in. Those with back issues will generally prefer memory foam pillow-top mattresses, which conform to the body and offer consistent support to areas like the lower back. However, it is important to check the manufacturer's information regarding the recommended weight allowances for these types of pillow-tops. Consumers who are heavier than the recommendations may find that the pillow-top cushion compresses in uncomfortable ways, leaving the mattress lumpy. Determine the thickness: Pillow-top mattresses come in a variety of thicknesses, from just 2 inches to 8 or more inches deep. Like choosing the right materials for your pillow-top, choosing the right depth is vital to getting a good night's sleep. Thinner pillow-top mattresses will allow more of the support from the remainder of the mattress to come through and will not develop body indentations as pronounced as those in a deep pillow-top. Pillow-top mattresses that are too soft may fail to provide back support and cause an increase in back pain. However, deep pillow-top mattresses are excellent for customers who suffer from fibromyalgia or other chronic pain. Check the warranty: Just as you would with any other purchases of its size, check the warranty of your pillow-top mattress. Most manufacturers will provide limited, pro-rated replacement warranties for manufacturer's defects, and some will provide a "comfort guarantee." Others may have specific conditions that must be met in order to maintain the warranty, such as having a boxed spring by the same manufacturer. Take note of any special conditions for the warranty and keep the paperwork. View All Mattresses Back to Guides Directory View All Mattresses
Best Reasons to Have a California King Bed
Similar in size to a standard king bed, a California king bed is four inches longer, allowing a lot of extra room top to bottom. A California king bed measures 72 inches wide and 84 inches long, and a standard king mattress measures 76 inches wide and 80 inches long, so while a California king mattress is four inches longer, it is also about four inches thinner than a standard king bed. Making a decision between the two might be difficult. Ultimately, both are great options, but there are a few conditions that might make a California king size bed the clear choice. Before you pick which king mattress is right for you, here are a few of the best reasons to choose a California king bed.
