  Gave this to a friend as a gift, she had been looking a long time for the right size and digital. She loves it, workes well, heats fast and cuts off as set. Great gift, wonderful price.

  This is not just a Roaster. There is nothing that it does not do. Slow cook, Bake, Roast, Steam. I have roasted Chicken, and beef, made soup and Stew. Pulled Pork and Steamed Vegtables in it. Six quarts may seem small but with the way it is designed it is very roomy. I love the fact that if you are useing it in place of a crock pot and thing need to go on table, you can speed thing up.... Heavy Glass lid, with vent allows me to see inside with out loosing any steam or heat. I also have the Larger Nesco Roaster, but if I could only buy one it would be this one.....

  As one who had never used a pressure cooker, I can tell you I feel totally confident using this one! Many safety features, easy to load and clean, easy to understand controls. Love it and will be using it often! NOTE: I live at 8500 ft, so I increase cooking time by 90%! But it is still much quicker than cooking the regular way.

  I've used this crock pot several times. I like the manual controls and the way it cooks. I had been using a more expensive fancier crock pot which cooked too high, even on the low setting, and ruined several meat dishes. The Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker even matches my stainless steel appliances. I would have liked the handles to be a little more substantial. Overall it is a good crock pot.
