  • Perfect size for one

Good size, like the style and design. Have a smaller oval slow cooker, but it only works for small pieces of meat. This one is large enough that I can put meat, veggies, broth or soup all in and it doesn't run over while cooking. Have already used it twice in the past week and am getting ready to use it today. Love the convenience of putting all the ingredients in, then leaving it alone until dinner time.

I've been using this pressure cooker for about 1 year. Cooks everythig from soup, to meat, to just plain beans. Easy to clean, and operate. Very safe too! Highly recommend.

This is my first pressure cooker and I bought it after reading a glowing ode to pressure cookers by Mark Bittman in the New York Times. After looking at the many options available (I wanted electric as I have an electric stove so I thought a stove top one would be too hard to control), this seemed to be the best reviewed and value for money. So it seems very well made and the directions are fairly easy to follow. Indeed, it makes awesome risotto in less than 20 minutes from start to serve. I also made a chicken stew that came out OK - not sure if it was the recipe or the pot. Haven't used the slow cooker or rice cooker features yet. I know people find this appliance indispensable but I still love my Kitchenaid crockpot. I know I just have to spend some time figuring out how to best use it. My one concern is that the gasket does seem to retain the smell of what has been cooked even after handwashing and soaking. I don't want to put it in the dishwasher as the directions don't in...
