First of all, the color description is clearly wrong, but reading past reviews wasn't very helpful either, because the color descriptions varied so greatly from "true putty color" to "honey beige". The chairs are more of an oatmeal beige color--no grey tones at all--and the fabric is somewhat of a "slubbed chenille"--they were a perfect match with my dark brown leather sofa and the new modern rug. As for comfort, they are very firm, more like an upholstered boat seat or something! The lumbar pillow does help with back support, they are definately not for lounging in everyday (my husband hates them, esp. since they are armless), but that was one of the reasons I purchased them, to take up less space and offer more seating. If the cushion were removable, I would definately suggest adding a small layer of memory foam to soften them, but they aren't so uncomfortable that I don't want to use them. Assembly was a snap, I easily assembled both chairs (with the help of my 2 yr old daughter) within 30 minutes. All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase and would definately purchase these again.

This chair is definately more of an oatmeal color than it appears in the photo. It is a nice neutral color and goes with me brown couch perfectly. It was shipped very quickly, and was easy to assemble. The only negative is that the chair is very firm, and not real comfortable. Overall, the two that I ordered look great in my parlor, and I would definately order them again.

The slipper putty chair was very easy to put together. It is very comfortable and easy to move around if your mind changes as much as mine does. I actually bought two chairs and they make a great reading or conversation area in my home. I have been complimented many times on the chairs and everyone enjoys sitting and relaxing in them.

After reading the reviews, and needing more seating for the holidays, I took a chance and ordered two of these chairs. Admittedly, when I knew I couldn't send them back I got really nervous. The chairs arrived on time, packaged to the teeth, the color was perfect, the size for my room was perfect (we needed a smaller footprint for our house). They were easy to put together, the material is good, then I sat down. Talk about stiff! It was like sitting on an extra, extra firm mattress. What I finally put together was these chairs look plush and cushy. So when you sit down you expect to comfortably sink into a down cushion. That, to me, is the problem. They look so good, you expect more. The look is deceiving, but the price et al is right. I'm glad I bought them.

I ordered two of these chairs. They were very easy to assemble (took just a few minutes) and am very pleased with the neutral color although they are a bit darker then the photo. The quality looks good although they are definitely very firm to sit on. I am using them in the master bedroom and they look nice as a pair and don't take up a lot of space..

Great accent chair if you don't plan on sitting on it for long periods of time. Overall happy with our purchase.

I was so looking forward to receiving this chair, and we would have loved it. However, it came with no chair pad, no parts to assemble, no directions on how to assemble so we could even go get parts somewhere else (have no idea what the missing parts look like), and a stain on the seat. I was so disappointed. We got the stain out, but asked for the parts and directions. Were told we couldn't get them but they could give us $** store credit. Poor customer service and very disappointed. Would have loved to have gotten a good chair with everything there.

This chair was perfect for a small space I needed to fill in our living room. Not a chair you can fall into and read a book, but comfortable for guests. The color was darker and more tan, but matched my sofas perfectly and I'm impressed with the quality of the fabric for the price. Very easy to assemble.

I've purchased three of these so far and will probably get a fourth. The fabric quality is very nice, and the neutral color and armless style fit in any room. I'm handicapped, but assembly is a breeze.

Color was just what I was looking for, and fits well in very small living room. Shipping was good, no damage to product.

I bought two of these chairs for my living room. They are nice to look at, however not very comfortable. I have added an extra pillow on the back because they are very deep. They are very textured.....so look closely at the pic that shows the close up. seem to be fairly well made and are good looking though. For the price, they were not a bad deal.

I received my Slipper Chair Putty today.. It was so easy to assemble and I will order a second chair.. I'm absolutely thrilled with my purchase and extremely satisfied at how well the chair looks in my living room.. Thanks Overstock for the great product..

was very happy with the chairs, well constructed, shipped and packaged well, no defects or color variations, they are firm, but i like them that way as to not break down quickly. nice sized, but not overly huge. would buy them again. good bargain for the price!

I had been looking for a chair that wasn't large for our study, and this chair was perfect. The color of the upholstery is so much nicer than the picture. I only wish the cushions weren't as firm. This is definitely not a chair to sit in for any length of time, otherwise it was a perfect fit for us.

I purchased two of these chars for our home office. The reviews people left on this item are accurate. The chairs are easy to put together and they are not as comfortable as they look. However, the chairs are good enough for the purpose we purchased them, they have good appearance, and the price is right. Besides the comfort, I would have liked a bigger pillow for the head to rest, but that is not a reason to be dissatisfied with the purchase.

This is a wonderful chair. Easy to assemble. I would recommend this chair to anyone who needs to fill a corner with a chair.

I love this well made, good design chair. Things you should know. The color is distinctly more gold than taupe. Warmer than cooler. Putty is not the best description for the fabric color although it is shimmery and very nice touch-- Especially for the price. Also, there is an unadvertised weight limit of 250#. I needed the cool color temperature of "putty" but I like them so well, I'm keeping them. I will change the accent pillow to cool off the warmer tone. Delete "putty" and call it pale gold/sand.

Perfect chair for a corner in my bedroom. A great value and fabric, textured medium taupey-beige, that looks high quality. The chair is not super high quality, a little firm, but still comparable to something you would find in a store for twice the price.

I just returned this chair. I had read some of the reviews, which indicated that the chair was more of a "taupe" than it looks in its picture. So, I was expecting kind of a tan grey color. Unfortunatey, the chair is a very warm tan/gold color, which didn't match my cooler-tone furniture. It also has a subtle almost animal-print-like pattern on the material, which I hadn't noticed from the pictures online. I wasn't crazy about the fabric pattern in person. Finally, I agree with the other postings; the chair is not very comfortable (firm, no real bounce when you sit), but it did seem to be softening slighty each time I sat down. The chair is good for the price, as long as you are not looking for a piece of furniture to work with cool tones.

The chair is defective. While it looks good, the frame is uneven and it tips over. At first we thought the legs were different lengths but discovered the chair itself is uneven. We are still waiting for a replacement and it has been more than 2 weeks. Our company over the holidays tipped over. Embarrassing to say the least
