I searched all over for a white headboard that wasn't crazy high priced, and landed on this one. Main objective was one that was washable in the case of stains or discoloration. This one fits the bill, but the problem is that the slipcover comes folded in a bag, and so is creased and folded and is going to need to be pressed in order to look smooth and polished. I haven't gotten around to it yet, so can't speak to whether or not it will be successful. Assembly was fairly easy, probably took an hour.Read More

How to Choose a Motorcycle Cover
A motorcycle cover is a smart way to keep your motorcycle in good condition. Like any vehicle, a motorcycle is vulnerable to the outside elements. Hail, wind, rain, and snow can all damage a motorcycle's finish and make it look worn beyond its years. Protective motorcycle gear will save you money in the long run, helping keep your bike in showroom condition. A motorcycle cover is a small investment that can help cut down on repairs for your motorcycle. Even motorcycles that are parked in a garage aren't impervious to falling debris or dings from car doors. A motorcycle cover is a must, particularly if your bike sports special extras, such as leather saddlebags or a custom paint job.

Along with the decor of the bedroom, a duvet cover may enhance the ambiance of the entire room or supply it with rich colors and textures for the ultimate comfort factor. If you purchased an expensive duvet, covering it throughout the year will keep it in good shape and allow you to wash it without compromising the batting. Look below to learn the best duvet covers for each season. Spring: Once the evenings start warming up, lighter fabrics like satin provide sheen and style to any bedroom. Satin duvet covers are most often comprised of fabrics like nylon, rayon or silk to provide durability as well as comfort. For spring, lighter colors, including pastels or variations of cream and beige, brighten the room. Summer: During warm summer nights, cotton duvets are one of the most common fabric choices. Light and airy, cotton is also easy to clean and comes in virtually every color and pattern. For the summer season, try a white duvet cover, which will make the room appear more open and spacious. A cotton blend that contains polyester is also an ideal choice for summer, because it is soft, requires simple washing and does not wrinkle. Fall: For the fall season, a duvet cover that is warm enough for intermittent chilly nights is an ideal choice. Microsuede duvet covers offer a soft feel to bedding and come in a variety of colors. This material is easy to care for and machine washable. For fall, choose earthy colors like beige, brown, dark green or burgundy for a seasonal look. Winter: A luxurious duvet cover is a favorite option for warmth during the winter months. Velvet is a soft fabric that comes in a variety of rich colors and provides plenty of insulation for cold nights. The luxurious texture looks good in any style of room decor. For winter months, choose deep, rich colors like burgundy, plum, forest green or chocolate to enhance the room. View All Duvet Covers Back to Guides Directory View All Duvet Covers

Best Styles of Booties for Evening
Ankle boots, or booties, are a versatile fashion option. They can be worn with a variety of outfits for many different occasions, from a lavish dinner at a four-star restaurant to a company party. Pick out evening-appropriate women's ankle boots that add flair and class to your outfit by following a few simple guidelines. Try embellished booties for a trendy look. Women's booties embellished with chains, big buckles, laces and buttons can work great when paired with a short skirt. The exact embellishment you choose is up to you, but no matter what, these extras will lend an edgy touch to your evening outfit. Match the color of your embellishments with the tone of your jewelry for a truly polished, put-together look. Pair women's ankle boots with tights or wear them bare-legged, depending on the formality of the occasion. While black booties tend to go with anything, you can experiment with different colors of embellished booties to give your look a boost. Booties that are a little slouchy also look great with jeans or a skirt. Leather booties look great for every occasion. Leather booties work well for a classic, chic and monochromatic look. Booties without adornments, such as buckles, bows or chains, can be patent leather (for a dressy look), suede or faux leather. Leather booties can be matte or shiny and often come in lace-up styles as well. This works best when you want your style to be understated but still want to add sophistication to your look. Coordinate your ankle boots with your outfit or pick another color to make your clothes pop. Wear them with a knee-length skirt or paired with a pair of dark jeans. You can also wear them with a tunic and thick leggings for a warmer, comfortable look. Open-toe booties are stylish and fashion-forward. If you really want to try something different, give open-toed booties a try. These will lend the most edge to your look. Pair these with a short skirt in order to make them pop. If it's cold outside, you might want to wear these open-toed booties with a pair of matching tights to stay warm. These ankle boots work well for going out to a club or rock concert, but they can also complement a party dress or a pair of jeans for a dressier event. Best Fills for Down Comforters
Warm and incredibly soft, down comforters are the height of luxurious bedding. Like all other bedding, down comforters can range from inexpensive to costly. The proof is in the filling. Inexpensive down comforters are filled with a combination of down and polyester or down and feathers. The best down comforters, which are usually also the most expensive, are full of pure, thick down. Take a look below to learn the best fills for down comforters. Hungarian goose down: Hungarian goose down is considered the most luxurious type of down. These extreme cold-weather birds have very thick, almost odorless tufts of down at the base of their feathers. This heavy, long-lasting down is most often used in comforters with a fill rating of 800, which means they can keep a person warm even in cold conditions. Eiderdown: Eiderdown is harvested by hand from the abandoned nests of Eider ducks, which pluck the down from their own backs and use it to cover their eggs. Eider ducks live in cold climates, so their down is thick and heavy. It is used in high-quality comforters with a fill rating of between 700 and 800. Eider duck down is the only type of duck down used in high-quality comforters. All other duck down is usually considered too smelly (and some duck down has tiny barbs) and is used in much less expensive comforters. Grey and white goose down: Grey goose down is used in dark comforters due it its grey color, but it is the same as white goose down in all other ways. Grey and white goose down, which is usually harvested from European or Chinese geese, is the most popular type of down used in middle-price-range pure down comforters. These comforters usually have a fill rating of 600 and above. Hypodown: Hypodown is a mixture of white goose down and milkweed. This all-natural filling is hypoallergenic and much more durable than pure down comforters. While pure down is still considered to be the preferable fill for comforters by most people, hypodown is gaining popularity with consumers who want a longer lasting product without synthetic fills. Best Ideas for a Cowboy Birthday Party
Plan the perfect cowboy birthday party for your little cowhands and their posse with a Western-themed party. With the right decorations, games and food, you can create a hoedown that your child and his or her friends will remember for years to come. Find cowboy party supplies and crafts for a colossal cowboy party, and don't forget to capture every moment with your camera. Invitations. Create cowboy party invitations that look like "wanted" posters using recycled brown cardstock paper. Print a black-and-white picture of the cowboy or cowgirl of honor in the center and use an old-style font or block lettering. Include the time and place for the round-up on the cowboy party invitations. Use fun phrases such as "howdy partner" and "saddle up for the showdown" for added laughs. Ask guests to come in their favorite cowboy attire, including rugged jeans, flannels and boots. Decorations. For cowboy party decorations, cover tables with red and white tablecloths. Display "wanted" posters of the birthday cowboy or cowgirl throughout the cowboy party room. Add balloons in colors of red, white and blue. Shape strands of rope into lassos and place them on the tables or hang them on chairs. Use bandanas or a Western-themed fabric for place mats. Create large cutouts of cacti, horses and cowboys for decorations. Bales of hay, stalks of corn and other items can add to the cowboy party decorations. Place bottles of water or juice boxes in a wheelbarrow filled with ice for refreshments. Dress up. Costumes and clothing can add to the cowboy birthday party theme. Because all guests may not know each other, give each guest a name tag cut to look like a sheriff's badge. Use silver cardstock cut into star shapes and attach the name tags with safety pins or tape. Provide guests with bandanas in a variety of colors. Give each guest a straw cowboy hat and a water pistol for an authentic cowboy look. Games. Though cowboys can be serious, there is nothing like having several fun games planned for even the roughest, toughest cowboy to enjoy. If you're holding a summer party, tell all cowboys and cowgirls to bring their swimsuit for a shoot-out using water pistols. Have a galloping contest; use brooms as pretend ponies and have races to see whose horse is the fastest. Old-fashioned potato-sack jumping contests are easy to assemble. Hold a boot toss contest: Have children toss bean bags, gold coins or other cowboy party supplies into an old pair of worn cowboy boots. Food. Create an old-fashioned homemade spread, complete with a cowboy party cake. Barbecued hamburgers and hot dogs or sloppy joes are always a favorite for little cowboys and cowgirls. Salsa and chips, beef jerky and even pulled pork sandwiches are additional ideas. Corn on the cob and cornbread are traditional cowboy staples. Create a cowboy party cake in the shape of a hat, pony or boot to continue the theme. Goodie bags. Thank each guest for coming by giving them a galvanized pail filled with cowboy party favors. Fill each pail with a small amount of straw or hay. Add trail mix, gold coins and licorice rope to each pail. Tie pieces of raffia or fabric for additional decoration to the pail's handle. For other cowboy party favors, consider purchasing small plastic harmonicas, sheriff badges and cowboy figurines. View All Crafts Back to Guides Directory View All Crafts
