So I got this box about 52 inches wide and by about 18" X 18". I ordered a mattress! Someone had messed up. "No", the delivery man said. That is how they ship mattresses nowadays. I figured I had some returning to do. But I followed the instructions and rolled out the mat that they sent me. I cut the plastic shipping inner sleeve and within minutes it began to expand and fill out and within an hour it was a "Full-sized" mattress. The proof was in the night sleep, though so I tried it and I am convinced that this is the best mattress I could have gotten. I am very pleased with the mattress and would highly recommend it to anyone. By the way it must be placed on a foundation if not on some solid surface. Mine will be placed in a loft and on a sheet of plywood. I guarantee, my back cannot tell if it was on a box spring mattress though. It really has helped me be comfortable. Just don't be surprised like me when you get some shipment that looks strange when you first get it.Read More
I do not like the foam in this bed. It is not dense enough. The bed did not inflate quickly and so took a couple of days to regain its shape. The foam seems unevenly distributed when laying on it, making it a bit lumpy. The only reason why it works for us is because we are using it in a bunk bed for our toddler. He only takes up a small portion of the bed although he likes and needs the space. He has no complaints and sleeps through the night every night. However, it would not be good for an adult.Read More
This was a little firmer than I would have liked. My sister had ordered the same mattress, and hers was so comfy that I purchased one for myself. Mine is firmer than hers, but still very comfortable.Read More
I am judgmental when reviewing this mattress. I have purchased a few Swiss Lux mattresses from Overstock and they are so amazing. Since this one was less money I thought I would give it a try. It is still great, but I prefer the Swiss Lux. I would recommend this one to someone who likes a firmer mattress. It doesn't have much give at all. With the Swiss Lux you squish down just a bit and it is very cozy. This one has no "squish". However, my adult daughter has had no trouble with her back since sleeping on this one, and feels it is so much better than her previous traditional spring mattress. This mattress is light weight and hardly has any "new" oder. I was able to slide the rectangle box upstairs, pop it open and install it myself.Read More
Upon the suggestion of a friend, when it was time to buy a new mattress i bought this one from overstock and LOVE IT!! it is very firm, yet comfortable - i had back pain for a decade before this mattress and I only have pain now when i sleep somewhere elseRead More
I have never slept well in our trailer while camping until we got this memory foam mattress. What a difference! It is soft, comfortable, and I no longer wake up when my husband rolls over because the mattress doesn't transmit movement. The mattress did not make me feel hot, nor did it emit an odor. I am planning to order this mattress for my home bedroom, and the kids want one in their rooms too!Read More
I bought this for a futon couch topper and was a little big. It was worth every penny, my husband and I are very happy that we bought it for the value and the comfort. My husband hadn't had a great night sleep in years. It helped support his back yet it was very comfortable. I would most diffidently buy another of this brand, if I could find it again on Overstock.com.Read More
I bought 3 of these for my kids rooms on platform beds. These came all rolled up and compact. Once you opened them they got their form back. The girls have been sleeping great and all love these mattresses. I've slept with them a few nights and it is very comfortable. I don't wake up with my usual aches from sleeping in a different bed. And they don't have any strange chemical smell. Very nice!Read More
Bought for guest bedroom and visiting family said that it was very comfortable. Can't beat it for the price.Read More
I wanted a mattress for my boys bunk bed something that would last awhile considering my boys are destructive, when this came in the mail just a few days after ordering I was very happy to see that it was even more then what my expectations for the product were! I'm almost jealous that it is for my son and not my husband and I! I most definitely recommend this to others!Read More

Best Pillow-top Mattresses for Back Pain
The key to a good night's sleep when you have chronic back pain is as simple as choosing a good pillow-top mattress. Choosing the best mattress involves knowledge of your personal needs and preferences. To get a comfortable night's sleep, start by choosing a pillow-top mattress made from the right materials for you. Next, choose your preferred thickness. Finally, have firm sleep support underneath the cushions of the pillow-top. Below, you'll learn the best pillow-top mattresses for back pain. Choose the materials: Pillow-top mattresses are made from a variety of materials, so choosing the one that is right for you can make all the difference in the world. People with muscle pain should consider down pillow-top mattresses, which provide a cocoon to sleep in. Those with back issues will generally prefer memory foam pillow-top mattresses, which conform to the body and offer consistent support to areas like the lower back. However, it is important to check the manufacturer's information regarding the recommended weight allowances for these types of pillow-tops. Consumers who are heavier than the recommendations may find that the pillow-top cushion compresses in uncomfortable ways, leaving the mattress lumpy. Determine the thickness: Pillow-top mattresses come in a variety of thicknesses, from just 2 inches to 8 or more inches deep. Like choosing the right materials for your pillow-top, choosing the right depth is vital to getting a good night's sleep. Thinner pillow-top mattresses will allow more of the support from the remainder of the mattress to come through and will not develop body indentations as pronounced as those in a deep pillow-top. Pillow-top mattresses that are too soft may fail to provide back support and cause an increase in back pain. However, deep pillow-top mattresses are excellent for customers who suffer from fibromyalgia or other chronic pain. Check the warranty: Just as you would with any other purchases of its size, check the warranty of your pillow-top mattress. Most manufacturers will provide limited, pro-rated replacement warranties for manufacturer's defects, and some will provide a "comfort guarantee." Others may have specific conditions that must be met in order to maintain the warranty, such as having a boxed spring by the same manufacturer. Take note of any special conditions for the warranty and keep the paperwork. View All Mattresses Back to Guides Directory View All Mattresses

FAQs about Memory Foam Mattresses
Many people have heard of memory foam mattresses, but few can tell you what they are made from. Memory foam is a combination of polyurethane and additional ingredients which increase foam's viscosity and density. It was originally developed by NASA to improve the safety of their aircraft cushions, but now, it's used in mattresses, pillows, and other bedding. The soft and inviting material is what makes these mattresses so appealing to people looking for a good night's sleep.
Best Mattresses for Every Sleeping Position
A mattress is one of the most important purchases you can make because you spend hours each day sleeping and rejuvenating for the next day. While shopping for a new mattress, keep in mind the typical sleeping positions you have to ensure you will find the right mattress to help with bone or joint alignment. Below, you'll learn the best mattresses for every sleeping position. Sleeping on your back: If you primarily sleep on your back, you need to find a mattress with support to prevent pain in the lower back. Sleeping on a mattress that does not have enough support causes muscle strain in the back and increases the chance you will assume a poor posture during sleep, leaving you achy in the morning. The best mattresses for this sleeping position have at least 400 to 800 14-gauge coils. Innerspring mattresses feature firm coils to support the back yet still mold to the curvature of the spine. Mattresses with box springs are ideal for those who sleep on their backs because they stabilize weight, offering back support and increasing the life of the bedding. Sleeping on your stomach: While sleeping on your stomach is comfortable, it also increases pressure and strain on parts of the body like the neck or back. Soft mattresses are the best for those who sleep on their stomachs. Look for mattresses that have 300 to 400 14-gauge coils, which will ensure the mattress is soft and comfortable. If you must use a pillow, look into buying a memory foam style, which molds to the head and neck to stabilize them during sleep. Sleeping on your side: Side sleeping is one of the most common positions on a mattress, and it may also be one of the hardest positions to shop for. Since you lay on your side, there is pressure on the shoulders and hips, which could make a firm mattress uncomfortable for sleeping. A mattress that is too soft is often not supportive enough to keep the spine in proper alignment. The ideal mattress for this position is one that has supportive coils, with a memory foam topper to provide comfort to the joints of the body. Facts about Memory Foam Infused with Latex
While there are many mattress toppers that claim to provide comfort, latex memory foam provides a firm, durable, breathable material that relieves pain and draws you into deep, restful sleep. Check out the facts: There are five reasons memory foam with latex is a good option for you.
Choosing the Right Density for Your Memory Foam Mattress
A decade ago, choosing a memory foam mattress was easier because there were so few brands and options. However, as the prices of memory foam mattresses have dropped, more brands have begun producing memory foam bedding, and choosing the right mattress has become more challenging. However, one factor remains constant throughout the different brands: memory foam density. Memory foam density, expressed in pounds per cubic foot, makes a big difference in the softness, durability, support, and price of your mattress. Knowing a little about the different densities of memory foam mattresses can simplify the buying process and help you find the memory foam mattress that's right for you.
How to Clean a Memory Foam Mattress Topper
When you're deep cleaning your home, you may want to pay special attention to your bed. A memory foam mattress topper can completely transform even the most uncomfortable mattress, but accidents do happen, and an accumulation of dust in even the most comfortable bed can prevent a good night's sleep. If it's time to freshen up your mattress topper, you may be wondering how it's done. Memory foam absorbs water while it is being washed; however, it is possible to wash it efficiently.
