The futon looks nice. The color is deep brown & the fabic is pleasant. It may be well made, I haven't had it long enough to know. Because of the poor (nearly non-existent) instructions, which, in fact were incorrect, I doubt the overall workmanship of the product. It may be fine, but I don't get a warm fuzzy feeling because the instructions are sparce and incorrect. Here is my advice if you want to buy this futon, go ahead. It looks nice and is comforable enough. Take a careful look at the photo. Notice that the slanted legs are on the front of the futon. When you open the box, and need to put the legs on, you can not tell which is the front and which is the back of the couch. The front of the couch is the side that has the zipper pouch (you'll know when you open it). Notice that the leg slants on the front of the futon face out. Also, the back of the couch requires the three straight legs, even though the instructions only mention a total of 4 legs. None of the markings on the couch match the holes on the legs...so don't predrill, until you mark where the holes need to go. With decent instructions I would have given this purchase a 4.5 because I would have stronger trust in the manufacturer. The missing 1/2 point would have been because it isn't as comfortable as I would have prefered.
This couch is very well built and there is no assembly. It looks nice, much better that any futon we have had in our 20s. We have heard from guests that it is comfortable, though you may want to add foam when making up the bed. It is important to note that it sits low to the ground, so it can be a little awkward, yet it is perfect for our office. I wouldn¿t recommend it for more formal seating unless you want to sit with your knees at your ears.
Overall happy with my purchase of two of these in the dark brown color. Easy to assembly, however the feet are found in a little zipped pouch on the bottom of the couch. We found the instructions after assembly which would have clarified the confusion. Again, nice looking just not really comfortable for a grown adult. We'll see how the hold up....
Not Able to Use The Full Area Of The Futon In The Sleep Position. I believe most people don't actually sleep on the unit, they only use it for temporary sitting. I use it for sitting and sleeping when Sleeping this unit is Very Poor you should be able to sleep on all of the unit in the down position but only able to sleep on one side of the unit The side you Sit On the other side the part you lay your back you can feel the wooden planks on your hip area which can be very uncomfortable when sleeping. Other then that Looks Great But Not For Sleeping.
The cushion are very firm and high enough to make it easy to just stand up. It's very comfortable and seems to be of very high quality. Delivery service was great once they got the right time.
I love this sofa. The style and material are terrific. Easy to assemble with instructions included. It is very comfortable for sitting and sleeping. The sofa is wonderful, and it takes up less space than I expected it to. I thought my room would wind up being pretty crowded, but it's not. Good Deal!!!!
This sofa is amazing. The color, style and fabric are beautiful. The cushions are firm. For me, it is exactly what I was looking for. The white glove delivery was perfect, no problems. And I love the fact that it is eco-friendly and so affordable. I couldn't be happier.
I love this sofa bed. It's stylish, easy to clean and the price is right. Two people have told me it was comfortable to sleep on and everyone loves the way it looks. I purchased some nice throw pillows and it really makes my living room look modern and fabulous. My kids love to recline and watch movies on it. Very versatile. One of the best purchases I've made in redecorating our house.
I was looking for a sofa/bed for my guest room. I didn't want a bulky sleeper/sofa. This totally fits what I was looking for. The design is simple and the bed is firm and very comfortable. It was very easy to put together. I did it in less than an hour.
REALLY A GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY ...STURDY AND WELL DESIGNED ...ATTRACTIVE, MODERN APPEARANCE. GREAT TO SLEEP ON ...
I love my sofa bed. We have a ranch house, built in the 1950s, and the style blends well with the architecture. The sofa is built solidly; the back reclines in two positions, and the arms recline in three -- and they actually work the way they're supposed to. The only reason I gave the sofa four stars is because the bed is very firm and could be a bit more comfortable.
I bought this sofa bed for an area of my office/den to be used occasionally as a bed when company comes. Before its arrival I purchased full size sheets and bed spread, not really knowing the true size of the bed. It is not quite full size so the sheets are big on the bed, which isn't a problem for me. My son(21yrs, 185lbs, 5' 10") was the 1st to sleep on the bed and he had no complaints. However, when just trying it out briefly when it first arrived, laying on it my husband (who is a little picky) decided that he would never sleep on the half of the bed that folds up and down as it is to hard for his liking.I tried that side and I didn't have a problem with it but then again I didn't spend a whole night sleeping on it. As for when it is used as a sofa; in the "full upright position" the angle is a little off, but if you have some small throw pillows on the sofa that would probably take care of that. There is a more reclining position and that is pretty comfortable for tv watching. The fabric is nice enough, easy to vacuum off. You do need to have a drill to make the holes for the screws for some of the leg holes, and there is some guessing involved as to where but if you are at all handy it should be no problem. There are no directions.
We received our sofa/futon - it was well packaged and as described by Overstock.com. I think the value is ok for the price, but it is definitely not a more expensive piece of furniture. However, the instructions for attaching the legs were not included in the box - instead there was a piece of paper stating where the legs could be found (in a zipper compartment under the sofa). When we requested the assembly instructions, we received - via FedEx - another copy of the paper that said where the legs are located. I wrote to Overstock.com again, they called me and then sent the following info in an email: Thank you for your recent order of the sofabed. Please see attached instruction manual. (the attachment is the paper that says where the legs can be found - in the zipper compartment) As you will notice, the instruction are a little vague as it is pretty much basic assembly. You would just need to pre-drill the holes on the four bottom corners of the sofabed. There are no patterns for the drilling of the holes but just use your best judgement. I do apologize for the inconvenience but if you should need any further help, please let me know. We still haven't attached the legs, which probably isn't too much of a problem, but obviously we're on our own. I do have to say Overstock responded to us everytime we contacted them.
I bought this bed/sofa for relatives or friends to use when they visit. The size is fairly good!! I was putting it in a back room of my office, and wanted something that could be used as a bed, but usually looked like a couch. This is a fantastic buy. I got the olive colored one, but the material is great. It assembles fast, and it is VERY comfortable as a couch as well.
This sofa bed is very small , it's not comfortable at all, it should be in" kid's furniture", plus the legs are rusted. You will need to drill total 16 holes for installing the legs, NOT easy to set it up. I would return it in a heart bit . I think this Sofa bed is also way over priced. very cheap made. don't know where they got that MSRP from.
It's appearance is quite good. Not quite as comfortable (as a sofa) as I would like, but very comfortable as a bed. Looks great in our tv/spare guestroom.
First thing I noticed while unpacking is the cool arm. THEN I noticed the cool arm was the wrong color. I debated whether to have the delivery man load it back up. I decided I would keep it and ask for a slip cover or something. For the room decor and six kids I needed dark brown, not camel. We unloaded it and my 9- and 5-year-olds announced it was uncomfortable. I expected it to be uncomfortable for adults, but a 5-year-old? The seat has boards that make it more uncomfortable than thinly covered plywood would be. The back is much better. If it were the inverse, it would be much better.
My sofa/bed did not come with the instructions for the setup nor did I know where to find the 4 legs which were hidden in the bottom of the sofa/bed. Since I did not have the instructions I did not know where they were. Had to get the instructions mailed to me after I received it. Durability is ok, not that great, would of preferred something more stronger.
This sofa bed love seat was so uncomfortable that nobody will be able to sit or sleep on it without suffering back pain. There is no cushioning of hard metal parts. What were they thinking when they designed this thing in China? Probably, how to squeeze an extra buck out of the American consumer.
Good product for the price. We have had it for almost 3 years and it still looks good.
