Excellent quality glass sink. The green is very vibrant, looks like a metallic green yet black where the light does not hit it directly. Am putting it on a wood counter and it just pops. Beautiful sink.

The Krauss Stainless Steel Farmhouse Sink is a hands down winner in the kitchen! There is much to like. The sink arrived within a week packed in a wooden crate in styrofoam and encased in a cloth duffle to protect the finish from being scratched. The base of the sink is faceted and the pitch allows water to run to the center drain efficiently. The drain cup is a deep basket with a metal handle that lifts out and cleans easily. The sink is roomy and deep - I have placed a small dish rack in the sink and it saves counter space and conceals the dishes as they are drying. The best part about the sink is that it is priced $200 less than the one I had initially started to purchase! It was definitely the right choice for me. I am very pleased with this purchase, which by the way, was my first from Overstock. Way cool!

The colors are absolutely gorgeous. I am using this bowl with a cherry-wood vanity in our bathroom and it looks absolutely gorgeous. Highly recommend this product.

We recently expanded our home with a large kitchen and 2nd floor addition. I had my heart set on a farmhouse / apron style sink for years and this fits the bill perfectly!! The sink came well packaged in a wooden crate 2 days after I placed my order. My cabinet maker took the spec sheet included and customized the base cabinet easily with little extra cost. We are not handy so I do not know how easy it would be for some in our shoes to do themselves. My ONLY caution would be to remember that it is a fairly deep sink. I am 5'5 and have to bend over to scrub pots and pans with the sink set at a standard counter height. I am sure there is a work around for that but.. keep that in mind to save your back. My 3 year old daughter can still fit (with room to spare) for an old fashion bath while mommy is cooking dinner. All in all I would definitely recommend this sink and Overstock.com to anyone who is looking for a sink that WOWS people at a great price!! Thanks!!

We bought and are renovating our house, after looking at sinks at the Big Box stores, I started looking on line. Overstock has been my go-to to save money on our Reno and this sink was perfect for our kitchen. It is big enough to wash oversized pots and pans, and it is a heavy gauge stainless steel, sleek and modern...we dropped it in a walnut butcher block countertop and it looks beautiful. It does scratch easy, but all stainless does.

Was looking for a bathroom basin for my log home. After on line shopping for three days and sticker shock, I stumbled across this one. More uniform than the natural stone free form ones that I had found, but has beautiful color variation and placed on a rustic reclaimed wood table looks totally custom. Copper faucets added to the look! Definitely a win-win purchase. Great size both in depth and width. I would highly recommend this basin/sink. Can't go wrong with Travertine.

This is a great little sink. Perfect size. But it has to be attached to the wall with an adhesive or glue. There were no instructions, drawings, or pictures with the sink, so I hired a contractor to install it. He could not figure out how to get the bracket to support the sink and thought it was the wrong bracket. During several email conversations with Overstock.com, we received a photo of the bracket that looked like the one I received, but the one I received did not fit the sink. We also received a note indicating that the bracket is not intended to support the sink. It adds a little support, but the sink has to be mounted with a "glue or adhesive recommended by your local hardware store." If you are using this in a small 1/2 bathroom (which is the only place I could think of using a mini sink), you might have regular sheet rock on the walls instead of the bathroom sheet rock you can tile. So adhesive will not adhere to that sheet rock. You can have a contractor change out the sheet rock! Or maybe you can find someone locally who works with sheet metal and have them make a bracket that fits and actually supports the sink! Our bathroom is still in process. We are mounting it to wood using an adhesive (probably liquid nail) and also trying to get a bracket made. Then we will attach the wood securely to studs in the wall. Regardless of how we eventually attach it, this sink ends up "costing" a lot. I am wondering if I should have bought an expensive sink instead, one with a mounting bracket that actually supports the sink.

First the sink. It is gorgeous. My Wife and I just finished renovating our kitchen and this was the last piece to the puzzle. It is super deep and just looks amazing. We used butcher block counters and this is great because I didn't have to cut rounded off corners. it's completely square. Now for the warning. First, installation instructions are completely useless. Basically they give you bolts with a thread system that needs to be countersunk. No biggie, what size drill should I use??? Well your guess is as good as mine. The ones I had were either too big or too small. To small and you can hammer in the countersunk nuts, too big and they just fall out. I compromised, used a smaller bit and just twisted the drill a bit. Then hammered them in. Some were great, some were too small and I started to smash the plastic nut, and some were too big..... It would have been 100 times easier to just use wood screws to screw the clamps on. I ended up doing a combo of wood screws in the clamps and drilled holes around the edge of the sink as well and screwed them in there. That was the first issue. Luckily working with wood I had a few work arounds, if you're working with a hard surface I don't want to be you. Second issue, this sink is HUGE! It barely fit in the 36" sink base we had. The faucet is a little closer to the window sill than I would prefer but there was no choice. I ended up having to undo a few of the clamps and spin them sideways because they were sitting on the edge of the sink base causing the counter to not sit flush. Also, word to the wise, if you can, install any and all fixtures BEFORE installing the sink/counter because once it's in, working around it is a nightmare. 3rd and final issue. It's HUGE. Because this is a deep sink to start, plus an undermount I HIGHLY recommend you measure the distance from your drain to the floor and figure out if there is a difference from your current sink to this. My problem was the between the added depth of the sink, and the fact that it's undermounted, I lowered the overall drain about 4"s. Doesn't sound like much till I realized I couldn't reconnect my P trap to the wall anymore..... I had to remove the garbage disposal and buy a different lower profile strainer basket that the one that comes with the sink and got lucky and was able to connect it. Long story short, be aware if you're current sink is shallower and or an overmount you want to make sure your drain will work. Overall this is a great deal. I highly recommend it. Just be aware you may need to make some rather expensive plumbing alterations by using it.

Replaced my tile counter tops with granite and this was the center piece. It is beautiful and the drains have a 2 inch pocket with a small basket with a handle (like those big pasta strainers or vegetable steamers that sit inside a bigger pot) for collecting stuff that pulls out for dumping. The screens that keep dishes off the bottom are sturdy and attractive and a big hit with my honey who enjoys the added convenience and cleanliness of washing in the big sink and drying in the smaller sink on the drain screen without needing additional (plastic) drainer inserts. The only challenge is that this design must be supported on all sides as the ridge between the sinks can't support both sinks if it is mounted only on the sides. Easy to do when mounting to a wood base but my granite counter top installers did not do that and it deflected in the middle with weight (hey, they're stone masons, not carpenters). I crawled under and created a frame and cross brace holding up the middle and now it is perfect.

This vessel sink went into our guest bathroom that I remodeled. We went with a med to dark wood finish theme in the bathroom with tan and olive green walls. I built the vanity and installed the sink with the drain accessories also from O.com. This sink is one of the most beautiful I've seen and really is the centerpiece of the bathroom. I used a polished bronze single lever faucet to complete the package and was able to find all our our accessories for the room in the same finish. Everyone who comes over loves and compliments us on the sink. This is work of art!!

This was a good deal, with brushed stainless steel that was a heavier gauge than most other stainless steel sinks. The only (slight) problem was the rim was bent a bit--but using a couple of clamps and some wood, I was able to straighten it with no trouble. And since this is an undermount sink, the rim shouldn't show anyway.

Wow to the color! It is absolutely gorgeous and gets rave reviews from visitors. The only problem we had was finding a nice vanity for it. Normal vanities would not work since they would be too tall with the vessel. Also, we did not like any of the vanities specifically make for vessels + very pricey. We did buy a lovely new real wood white nightstand online and converted the top drawer (made shorter to accomodate the plumbing). The height was perfect since the night stand was 29" ; add the granite of 1" and the 5.5" of the vessel, and we were at 35.5"-- the standard of normal sinks. We also only paid $289 plus $150 for our pick of granite our fabricator finished the top with. That price beat anything we found online and we made it our own. Have fun with yours!

I am doing my bathroom in Brass, wood, creams, and Emerald greens. When I opened the box, I almost dropped it I was so excited. I am going for the greens in my decor that remind me of Washington state that I love so much. The Green is so deep and 'alive". the Glass is thick, tempered and heavy duty, not something you have to worry about chipping if drop a pail of nail clippers dropped into it. Price was a steal for the quality and beauty.

I think you will be pleased with this combination sink, faucet, rack and drain. All are high quality stainless steel. The faucet is beautiful, all stainless steel, well finished, and very high quality. The sink is also very nice, and except for some incidental wrinkling on the lower portion of the apron is well finished, and high quality. Make sure you really need a sink this deep, because if you mount it below a granite top, you are going to have to reach way down to get to the bottom. I do not regret this purchase. Overstock shipped quickly, and item arrived well packaged and undamaged. It is packed in a very sturdy wooden crate.

It is exactly as I expected, I have purchased Kraus products from overstock before and very much like them. The only issue I had was preventing the leak due to my unconventional installation. I installed it on top of old wooden Indonesian table and due to the thickness of the wood I had problem balancing it and preventing small drip from overflow drain. But all is done thanks to little plumbing putty. It looks crazy good now.

Very nice sink in person. Heavy, good antiqued color. Looks very expensive. Not smooth inside but hammered. I thought it would be smooth from description so we'll see how standing water works out. We over-mounted onto wood counter top with no problems, nice finished edges.

The sink and faucet look unbelievable on a black granite base, halogen lights, a light yellow/beige metallic based wall paint, and bright white wood work. Everything is solid and goes together well. However, be aware that the fittings on the end of the flexible hose are NOT STANDARD and it took 4 plumbing stores to rig an adaptor of sorts. If ever the hose were to leak you may have a big problem replacing the flexible hose.

I originally ordered a Ticor farmhouse sink. It arrived quickly but it had several manufacturer's defects. Overstock immediately sent me a return shipping label.I ordered the Kraus 36 inch farmhouse. It arrived quickly in a wooden crate not a cardboard box.It was in perfect condition. It replaced an existing 2 bowl sink, that was a drop in that had been under mounted. As a result I had to cut and polish the new hole in the existing granite top in the kitchen since removing that piece of granite was virtually impossible. That operation was loud and somewhat messy,as you can imagine. This is a beautiful sink and after the install it is a site to behold. My customer loved the sink and it has 6 times the volume as the previous 30 inch 2 bowl sink.It did not come with a template, and the drain is not garbage disposal capable. It came with a beautiful drain but of course it can not be used with a disposal. It would be nice to have the option of choosing a drain that could be used with a disposal. Other than that it is perfect.
Wood has long been used for eating utensils, serving utensils and preparation tools. Wooden spoons are a cooking essential and also a beautiful addition to your kitchen and dining experience. On the practical side, these lightweight yet strong utensils are great for tossing salads and serving everything from mashed potatoes to green beans. Wooden spoons are also the perfect preparation tools for use with nonstick pans. Cleaning and general care of wooden spoons differs, however, from the cleaning and care of metal utensils. Wood expands in water, so soaking the spoons in dishwater is generally not advised. Aside from a few basic rules of care, however, it is not difficult to keep wooden spoons looking like new.
Sinks come in many different styles, materials, sizes, and colors. Finding a functional yet beautiful sink doesn't have to be a challenge. Whether you're shopping for a sink for your kitchen, your bathroom, or another room in your house, this is what you need to know while you shop.
Part of the challenge of remodeling is blending fixtures and hardware, such as a bathroom sink, with other elements of your room decor. Unique bath fixtures, such as vessel sinks, can introduce special challenges. A vessel sink is not meant to blend into the countertop as other bathroom sinks do. It's often a focal point for the room. Below are some tips on incorporating a bathroom vessel sink into your bath decor.
Strapping on a pair of snowshoes opens up a whole new world of winter adventure. Once you have a pair of snowshoes, you can boldly go where you have never gone before. Because they spread the surface area of your footfall, snowshoes prevent your weight from sinking into the snow, so you can get around, even in deep powder. From the first wooden snowshoes, snowshoe designs have expanded to work for a wide range of adventurers. Now you can find many snowshoes for sale, from backcountry snowshoes to running snowshoes. However, snowshoes won't do you much good without binding attachments to keep them on your feet. There are two main types of snowshoe bindings: free rotation and fixed rotation.
Carpeted floors usually provide too much resistance for office chairs with rollers to work well. In addition, rolling a chair over carpet will wear down the carpet fibers over time. Mats designed for these areas are a practical solution to both issues. Mats can also protect harder, uncarpeted floors -- such as vinyl or wood, from wear caused by chair rollers. There are several styles and colors of these mats. When choosing a mat to use under your rolling office chair, it's not always best to choose the first one you see -- some are more suitable for low-pile carpets or wood floors, and some are perfect for use on heavy, thick carpeting.
When you crave modern decor, try experimenting with a contemporary Italian bathroom vanity set. Instead of ornate rolling scrolls with fancy carvings, think of simplistic vanities and eclectic accessories. A contemporary Italian bathroom vanity set is all about shiny material and minimalistic straight, flat lines. You can still keep the gorgeous marble tops and wooden cupboards of modern bathroom furniture, but make it fit contemporary rules. Below are some guidelines for decorating with a contemporary Italian bathroom vanity set.

When you get the itch to go for a mountain stroll, snowshoes allow you to traverse beautiful terrain otherwise inaccessible. Snowshoes spread your weight evenly across a large, flat surface area, which helps keep you "above" the snow. They won't make you float magically above the snow, but they will help out in deep powder. When you are ready to strap on a pair, use this buying guide to help figure out what would work best for you.
Going green can extend into every corner of your home -- even to your bath mat. Bathroom rugs are great at absorbing excess water, but these mats are often made from synthetic materials and can harbor mold and bacteria. For allergy suffers, this mildew can be especially harmful and usually results in frequent bath rug replacement. Environmentally-friendly bath rugs can be just as effective as standard rugs, with minimal impact on our ecosystem. Keep reading to learn how to choose an eco-friendly bath mat that is both stylish and green.
