We purchased two beds for our 11 year old twins and they work beautifully in their room. We particularly like the simple, clean look to the bed; important, since we wanted to also create an open look to the room rather than a cluttered one with too much bed furniture. The beds were relatively easy to assemble; a sturdy product that should hold up under our kids energetic use. I would recommend the product for those of you who would like to maximize your bedroom space with a good looking bed.

I recently took delivery of a "Simple Twin-size Espresso Platform Bed." A beautiful piece of furniture, indeed, but unfortunately made of very low quality wood. Upon completion of assembly, I noticed the right leg (attached to the headboad, had split in half, rendering the bed unsuable. This happened despite extreme care. No excessive force was used at all. There are four support legs in the middle, all of which fell off due to poor quality of the soft wood used. Bottom line: Very disappointing. I will not recommend it to anyone.

Love it. Looks very nice, is sturdy and was very easy to put together (I did it by myself in about 30 minutes). Would recommend it to anyone.

I put this bed together is no less than ten minutes!! It is SO easy...even without reading the directions!! They are super sturdy and amazingly cute for the price!! you will NOT be disappointed with this purchase!!!!

I ordered this bed because I am moving in with a friend who has a small room. I already had a twin-sized memory foam mattress (that I ordered from Overstock last year!!!) and I didn't want to get a box spring. This platform bed is the perfect size. It was very easy to put together. You can use a screw driver, but if you have a drill it will make it faster. It took about 30 minutes to assemble everything. It is a good buy. It is low to the ground so if you want to sleep higher, you may want to use a box spring.

We purchased this bed for a 9 year old boy. We wanted a clean, modern look that will transition into adult. It works perfectly. The bed frame was easy to put together and is remarkably sturdy. If you leave the comforter untucked, you won't see the bedding. Despite the picture, the bed is a good height. We do not use a box spring. There is still ample room to store items under the bed. It was well packaged and had no damage.

The bed does need some extra support. The center bar does not attach to the ends of the bed - only the slats. I did use additional screws to attach each slat to the frame. The bed does not come with enough screws to attach each slat. The slats are made of very soft wood. Each slat needs to be attached to the frame so they will not move or slip out of the frame. 4 legs attach to the center support bar that only attaches to the slats. I believe I made a good purchase. It just needs some extra drilling to improve the support of the bed. The frame does look very nice. I've been using the bed with no issues.

We were extremely pleased with the quality and look of the beds purchased. They were easy to assemble and seem sturdy. They have been placed in a corner much like a sectional and are used as daybeds and occasionally as guest beds. We were unable to find anything similar locally at a comparable price.

this is a fine platform for your mattress I don't see it lasting decades or being an heirloom but it is a decent product---easy enough to put together

we were looking for a simple platform bed to put a mattress on as a spare bed for the baby's room. This was what we were looking for at a reasonable price. The bed seems pretty solid. The package arrived quickly. Only thing is that when we received it, the support beam was cracked completely through. After a number of interactions with Overstock, the replacement part was finally shipped (warehouse where they needed the part from was unresponsive for a few days). Unfortunately, when we finally received the replacement part, it seemed to be the wrong part because all of the pre-drilled holes were in the wrong place. Rather than go through contacting Overstock again, we drilled our own holes and found a way to make it work. Overall, it seems to be worth the purchase so far, just hope that none of the parts you receive the first time are damaged and the holes are where they should be.

This bed was just what I wanted fo my guest room/office. It is good looking, with simple lines and doesn't take up a lot of space. I really was easy to assemble and I think the price was excellent. I bought a nice 10" futon mattress for it from Overstock also.

This bed came in three different boxes and was fairly easy to set up. There was a little chip on one of the side boards but it was on the inside so I didn't really care. Took me about 30 minutes to assemble and except for a few modifications with the screw numbers and locations, the set up was easy. After assembly and setting up the mattress and sheets, the frame was sturdy and did not make any squeaky or rickety noises. I didn't realize there was a support beam that went down the middle of the bed (lengthwise) so you can't really store any containers under the bed b/c of the feet on the support beam but I guess that was a small price to pay. I don't remember reading that in the description but it wasn't a very big deal.

The only problems with assembling the beds were that the slat holes were not in the right place. Easily fixed with a drill, though.
